Lungomare Restaurant — Restaurant in Argostoli Municipality

This is the a la carte restaurant in the White Rocks Hotel and is truly a very special experience and certainly shouldn’t be missed whilst staying here. We visited for lunch one day and a couple of evenings for dinner. The service and all the staff were excellent, with stunning views of the sea and the sunsets were amazing. Dishes of note, although everything was freshly made and delicious, were the Greek salad, seabass, risotto and pork gyros, worth a visit.

It is also worthy of note that there is a local supermarket nearby (Super Market Mina in Lassi), this is circa 700m, (10-minute) walk from the White Rocks Hotel. When coming from the hotel you need to walk down to the Platis Gialos Beach via a secure gate to the hotel, be sure to bring your room keycard to get back in again. Use this route and not the main road out of the hotel as there is no footpath and a busy road. As you come up the road from the Platis Gialos Beach there is a footpath circa 100m away. Best restaurant in Kefalonia! Beautiful, intimate, romantic atmosphere with tasteful live music. The service was impeccable (thank you Anastasia!). Most importantly: the food was amazing! As close to a Michelin restaurant as you can get as a restaurant serving normal classics. One piece of feedback for the chef: the food was beautifully and deliciously executed and you can trust and rely on the main elements. There were a few too many elements on each plate. The tuna tataki could have done without the chilli, cucumber and chive decorations and the steak dish could have had only one or two sides. Minor details: the water bottle would be more fitting for the restaurant’s profile as a glass bottle; and the bread was good but would have been better as house made and fresh; the shrimp in the pasta had some tails on and some removed, but would have been better with all the...

Huge disappointment for a high end restaurant The environment is palatial with nice views and the cocktails are indeed very good but that is where it ends My steak had blood leaking into a cold sweet potato mash, a steak that had clearly not been rested and cold mash really! along with a bottle of water that did not arrive When asked if my meal had been ok l described my experience With an empty plate in front of me the waiter said did you eat your food HOW RUDE!!!
