I had read previous reviews and perhaps that set my expectations higher, but unfortunately it was a poor experience at El Pecado. 4 of us went at about 215pm to try and avoid the lunchtime rush, however it was still busy. We had to hang around for 25 mins to get a table - there is no queuing system, it is a free for all and other guests don't care if they jump in front of you. After finding a table then it still had the plates on it from the previous diners, we had to clear these away ourselves, get paper towel from the bar and clean the table ourselves. Even then we could not clean it properly and it had stains from food on the table. All the food is given on paper plates, but all the bins were overflowing and diners were piling more rubbish on top of the bins without anyone emptying them. For food we had toasties - tuna, ham and cheese. They can be best described as basic. All in it was €48 for 4 totasties and drinks. The views are nice there but the whole dining experience and the uncleanliness were very...
Read moreBest beach bar in the Gialos beach if you care about affordability / cheap prices. It's simple, dated sunbeds but it does the job, don't expect luxury there. Their club sandwiches are fair priced and very tasty, 1L cold water 1 Euro, sunbeds starting from 15 to 25 euro depending on the row. And it was the only place I went they get and deliver orders in the sunbeds.
About the service, they are VERY friendly and careful. They are young, and from bad reviews about the service I bet the story was "you are not cool with me, I won't be cool with you either", because all the staff there were lovely.
The bar just have a minute stairs climbing from the beach level. Like I said, there's someone which does it for you, but usually starting from 11h, before that or if you want something ASAP you have to go...
Read moreA lovely beach bar in a prime spot, overlooking the stunning sandy beaches — it’s a great place to take a break from the sun and cool off for a bit. We stopped by for a couple of ice creams to enjoy back on the beach. There was a good variety to choose from, including both ice creams and lollies.
That said, the prices were definitely on the higher side — €4.50 each, which felt steep, especially considering we’ve had fresher and tastier gelato elsewhere during our stay for much less. That said, it's not too surprising given the beachfront location — you’re paying a bit extra for the convenience and the view!
Still, it’s a nice spot with a great setting, and worth a visit if you're in need of a quick...
