At first the place didn’t look so interesting no fancy design small and somewhat unwelcoming view BUT this is the BEST place we have been to in Athenes, food is AMAZING local vibes, the owner is fantastic, the prices are very good, absolutely great. Try the fried calamari the best dish for me, mussels were also very very good, wine and Raki made the finishing touch....

Very good food. Relaxed atmospere, food is not brought in a rush. Portions are very big and for a top price. I had the Κολοκυθάκια τηγανητά (fried courgette), Κολοκυθάκια τηγανητά (egg plant salad), bread and half a liter of white wine for 15 euro. Afterwards a nice dessert from the house. Simple neighborhood taverna with authentic Cretan food. Amazing stuffed vine leaves, there is a vegan version just with herbs and rice and one where the vine leaves are stuffed with meat and rice with avgolemono sauce. Great escargots and almyra too. Friendly staff. Nothing fancy...

Znaleźliśmy to miejsce przypadkiem bo było blisko hotelu. Niewątpliwie jest to restauracja, która powinna być odwiedzona przez wszystkich turystów! W restauracji można otrzymać prawdziwą kreteńską kuchnię i dobre, domowe wino (na kilogramy :) ), każda z przystawek była pyszna, w szczególności tzatziki. Ryba z grilla którą dostaliśmy była przyrządzona bardzo smacznie! Bardzo dziękujemy za deser, który był rewelacyjny! Miła atmosfera, wyraźnie wyczuwalny klimat z Krety, można się rozluźnić i zjeść dobre jedzenie :) Jedzenie: 5/5 Cena w stosunku do jakości: 4,5/5 (dla turystów powinno być OK) Wygląd w środku: 4/5 (typowo po Grecku, stoliki są na zewnątrz i w środku wraz z sekcją dla niepalących) Personel: 5/5 Mimo, że restauracja nie jest w centrum, jest około 10 min pieszo z stacji metra M3 i warto spróbować.

Fantastic food! We went there for seafood and were very impressed. Octopus, calamari stuffed with feta and tomatoes, and grilled sardines with peppers and onions. On top of that, the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely recommend the Kriti Taverna.
