I decided to not google where to eat or ask any local friends and check local spots that were filled with people in the Kipseli square. That's how I ended up there.
We got the house salad, fried shrimp, grilled sardines (one my favourite dishes), zucchini balls, fried cheese and fava.
The food was slightly overpriced for the area and for Greece in general but i did not mind that. What I did mind was that it was really bad. Zucchini balls and the shrimp were mediocre, the salad did not seem to fit together and was quite dry, but the sardines were old and had the taste of fish that are about to go bad. I grew up by the sea rating fresh fish weekly and i think it is really bad to serve fish like this. The fava was also tasting like it has been in the fridge for a while. I would really not recommend this place. The service was nice though, and there was live music, but the food was so surprisingly bad that I cannot rate the place with more...
Read moreWe passed by and we were hungry so we decided to take a seat. 3 grown up’s and a baby. Very fast a person was already there and asked if we wanted a baby seat. Positive! BUT, and here it begins. The seat was so gross that I began to clean it and gave up immediately. Of course I chose to hold the baby. The waiter came took it back and it was obvious that it would make no difference to tell him. I mean he brought that thing to us. He could see it!!!! We ordered only a few things to calm the hunger because we already had a bad feeling. Fried potatoes and zucchini, salad, some chicken in the pan with sauce and a pork steak that never came. Everything was mediocre the chicken was disappointing with a weird color and a smell. We didn’t finish anything and as soon as we got to pay they had also put in the bill the steak!
But the important part here is the hygiene that was so obviously missing outside and for sure inside...
Read moreTourists avoid this place, this is not what we want you to think of our food. First of all the kolokythakia thganita (fried zucchini) were saggy and they didin’t serve it with tzatziki which is something extremely rare and strange. To continue with the thgania of chicken was not good at all, the meat was bad quality and the taste was bad too, we took it all to feed to the stray dogs. Lastly the “meat-platter” didn’t have a single souvlaki, it had two meatballs, one piece of meat that was well cooked but completely tasteless/without salt and lastly some burned chicken as you can see on the last photo. On this platter the fried ( pre-fried) potatoes were extremely undercooked and the dip sauce bad. The staff was very kind and fast and they gave us...
