Spontini — Restaurant in Chios Municipality

The food is really good, tasty and well-prepared, and the place is nice, but the service is a bit disorganized. When I arrived, I was told there were no tables available and that I’d have to sit at the bar… even though 3 tables stayed empty for the whole evening. Ordering was confusing: I was initially told a pizza would take 45 min, then later told that the 45 min wait applied to the entire menu except for pizzas. Service is slow and inattentive. Plus, I was served a whole 1-liter bottle of water when arrived, even though I might have preferred a cocktail.

The pizza selection is quite limited (only 6 options) and doesn’t include seafood, which could be a nice addition here in Greece.

Nice shop. Wasn’t busy at Friday evening for food. We was 2 adults with to Childs. Food was quite quick, salat was taste, rich and fresh. Classic bolognese for the children’s was unexpectedly tasty, good quality meat, not oily… Chicken pane with cheesy pasta was very nice, nicely fried chicken, tender and not dried out. Pasta was al dente as much it should be. Also was good quality cheese for the sauce, not cheap supermarket garbage. Carbonara was like 7/10. Pasta well cooked, but generally something like average feeling. Nothing exceptional. Portions are moderate, not small but not going to have the “I’ll die for food overdose” feeling. Tried a couple of dishes and liked them. The service is fast and sufficient. The atmosphere is friendly and pleasant even when you dine alone. The food preparation area is visible- which I always consider a positive in similar restaurants. Menu includes some plates from different cuisines as well as the usual items you would expect to find in a good fast food restaurant. From pastas to salads and burgers and steaks.
