During my recent visit to Chios, I had the pleasure of dining at To Tsikoudo, and it was an absolute delight! This charming restaurant offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere that combines traditional Greek aesthetics with modern comfort. The staff at To Tsikoudo were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was exceptional.
The menu is a treasure trove of local specialties, and every dish we tried was delicious. The standout for me was definitely the freshly grilled fish, seasoned to perfection and paired beautifully with a glass of local white wine. The mastic-flavored desserts were a unique and tasty end to our meal, truly capturing the essence of Chios.
What sets To Tsikoudo apart is not just its food, but its commitment to authentic Greek hospitality. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking, overlooking the serene Aegean Sea, making it a perfect spot for a romantic evening or a relaxed meal with friends.
I highly recommend To Tsikoudo to anyone visiting Chios. It's a place where the food, the views, and the people create a truly memorable experience. Don't miss out on this gem on...
Read moreWe only ate here because our first choice was fully booked and they had space for 9 (a bad sign for a last minute reservation).
Party of 9 family members - three families with restaurant ownership background.
I ordered the Kebab, which comes as two pieces of meat along with from frozen fries and mayonnaise dip…the 1st piece was cooked but the 2nd was raw. Having been in the restaurant business myself, this is unacceptable and usually a sign of a frozen patty not being cooked to proper temperature. I told our water, he didn’t say much. When the bill finally came it was still on there. I spoke to the owner, he refused to acknowledge that it was a risk to serve this or to remove from our bill.
Terrible experience, mistakes happen but it’s how they are dealt with that makes or breaks it. If I could give a zero star review I would.
Atmosphere rating is due to location - zero connection...
Read moreOverall, it was a delightful experience with a few minor drawbacks. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the boiler octopus, which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and simply delicious. The calamari was also a standout, with a fresh, crispy texture that was very enjoyable. Complementing these seafood dishes were the fried zucchini and eggplant, which were equally delicious and added a nice variety to the meal.
However, the service did leave something to be desired. It was a bit slow, likely due to a lack of resources, which slightly detracted from the overall experience. Despite this, the quality of the food made the wait worthwhile.
In conclusion, if you're willing to be a bit patient, this restautant is a fantastic choice for...
