Disappointing Experience – Would Not Recommend Our visit to Kavos Fish Tavern was deeply disappointing. From the moment we arrived, the staff were unfriendly and impatient. They didn’t even give us time to finish placing our order and treated us as if we were a burden – as though we were eating for free, not paying customers. The food was, without exaggeration, some of the worst we’ve ever tasted. We only ate because we had skipped a proper breakfast and were genuinely hungry, but this was far from the “freshly cooked meal” we had hoped for. To make things worse, we had to repeat our order multiple times, and they still managed to get it wrong in the end. We left feeling frustrated and completely unsatisfied. What a disappointment.. the food came in wrong order even after a clear discussion. The grilled aubergine was full of seeds and terrible to eat, grilled octopus was below avg, prawns were good. However a simple chicken was unbelievably chewy and felt as if from day before that served by warming on the grill, fries were under cooked. Cooking chicken badly is a skill and the chef should be fired. We had many seafood meals around Europe but this was most disappointing. The sea view was the only saving grace. Terrible food. No taste, no attention to detail in presenting the food and cats all over the tables. Very disappointed, we didn’t finish the meals we were served. The ‘burger’ (smashed meatballs) and half cooked chips and fried squid which was just about ok but again presentation was off. We were also served bread with no butter or Olive Oil.
