Mikel Coffee — Restaurant in Dion - Olympos Municipality

I’ve been coming to Mikel Coffee beach bar in Neoi Poroi every day for a week, usually spending the whole day there. We would just take a 2-hour break in the afternoon and come back, and until now, that was never a problem. I was clearly told by the waiter that the only condition for using the sunbeds is to order a drink – with no minimum amount required. Fair enough, I understand that the price of drinks covers the use of the sunbeds.

However, today (Sunday), the rules suddenly changed. We were told we couldn’t leave our towels for 2 hours anymore, and they didn’t care that we’ve been coming every day, or that I said I plan to come next week as well.

It’s clear that they don’t value regular guests – only the money they can make at the moment because it’s the weekend.

I was in the beach and the sunbeds and umbrellas were very nice. It had rained the night before so they were wet but a staff member came to us and offers us dry chairs to sit in while the sunbeds dried. The prices are a bit higher then some other beaches in the area, but in my opinion they are worth it. The coffe is pretty good and the food also satisfied my needs. The only thing that I didn't really like, is that there were 2-3 waiters actively working and the rest was sitting and playing cards. Now this would not be a problem if there wasn't a lot of people, but at some ttimes during the day you couldn't get a waiters attention because they had so many people to serve, while the other were sitting and relaxing.
