Exceptional services, very good food, from pizza and pasta to salads. Comfortable chairs. The restaurant is above all the other restaurants in Neoi Poroi.
Being on vacation on the seaside in Romania, Bulgaria and Greece, I can say that in RO the food is good, but services are a big lottery, mostly poor, BG Hotels have good services and very nice rooms and restaurants, but the food, let's just say it is not my taste, GR has great restaurant and hotel services and nice people, the food is mostly very well made, but most of the places look poor and simple, just practical.
So comparing to other restaurants from Neoi Poroi, this is what I can say:
It's fancier and more comfortable than all the other restaurants. It looks newer, even if it's not from the look of the used menus, you can see the manager payed more attention to the space you eat, from the green grass where the tables are to the comfortable chairs and the fact that the cutlery came in a paper bag, not just in a napkin.
The people who serve you have a smile on their face, even if they have probably their own problems or are tired. (At Kima for ex. they were pleasant until they took the order from you. After that they were machines doing tasks..., Dyonisos is ok as long as it's not full.)They are also a lot and the order comes fast. They weren't aggressive in trying to get customers. (like those from Kima till Dionisos, including)
The food is very good, no need to detail it. Try anything, ask a waiter. The Personal size Pizza seemed big (30 cm? not sure), the salads were just enough for me. Didn't need more, didn't left it in the plate. It's smaller than in other restaurants but is the right quantity for me at least. It's still Pizza and Pasta Restaurant so there aren't very much options, pizza, pasta, salads, wines, biger diversity in beers, juices and deserts. So no grill, giros, French fries or fishes. For these you have to try other restaurans also well reviewed in Google. Also there is no free water but the only one that gave us sweet desert other than melons. A couple of years ago all Greeks gave a home made cake with e bill, but now only mellons. Only Dimitri from Dyonisos gave 2 small icecreams for the children and this pnly in the first evening, the next one they wee too busy.
The price seemed almost the same so it doesn't make an impact on the decision of choosing where to eat.
Other differences I'll let you see them...

Visited again and unfortunately have had to knock 2 stars off and give it only 2/5. They seem to have made a lot of changes since my last visit to try and give the vibe of a high end pizza place. They now only have standard sized pizza's and have carried out lots of decorative changes to the restaurant with higher prices. They have to remember that pizza is a very inexpensive and a simple dish to make. If your going to charge top rate then your service has to be spot on.
Service was horrendous! They sat us down and forgot about us for 15 mins when they came to take our order. We told them that we hadn't been given a menu yet. Another 15 mins later and they came again to take our order. They brought us a normal full fat coke instead of Coke zero. Asked for straw and they never brought one Slow to take order and slow to take payment. It was a rainy day in August and they decided to lift the removable sides of outdoor structure while it was raining so our food and ourselves got soaked. No apology for this.
They had a birthday party going on and seemed to focused on the regular customers only.
They also charge a €1 per person bread charge. They even charged my 2 year old this. Only plus was that the Chicago pizza I ordered was amazing but €9.50 for a basic Margherita cheese and tomato pizza is a bit of a joke.
Unfortunately, with the poor service and high prices, I am unlikely to return.
Review August 2017 Reasonable value for pizza and drinks are well priced. I ordered the prosciutto pizza which was had nice flavour and the service was quite good for Greek standards. I would however like to add that the so called family size pizza is actually not that big. The family size only consists of eight slices. I'm an average size slim man and I managed to eat a family size pizza to myself, some additional slices plus some salad. If your unsure what size to get, just order a...
Read moreYesterday, while on our way to Pelion with my wife, daughter, and mother-in-law, we decided to stop in Nei Pori for lunch. After parking the car, my mother-in-law, who is elderly and uses a cane, began complaining of severe stomach cramps and urgently needed to use the restroom. We hurried into the nearest restaurant, which happened to be Vergina, hoping she could use the facilities and we could sit down for a meal.
As we didn’t have time to first take a seat, look at the menu, and order food, I asked a waiter where the restroom was. He directed us, but at that moment, another individual (possibly the manager) appeared and rudely asked, "Who are you? You must eat, drink..." I explained to him that we would sit down and eat, but my mother-in-law urgently needed the restroom. He responded with, "No!"
We reluctantly took a seat and requested the menu while my mother-in-law went to the restroom. As I was looking over the menu, the same individual approached me aggressively, demanding to know what we were ordering. I'm asking him now, "Who are you little man? Do you have any humanity in you? Would you give a glass of water to a thirsty person? Would you help someone in distress? Is everything about money?"
Out of protest, we stood up and left. I've been vacationing in Greece for 30 years and have never experienced such rudeness! I certainly do not recommend this restaurant. The so-called gentleman could have been more courteous and shown...
