As a Local Guide and a frequent visitor to the Taste of Greece restaurant, I am thrilled to share my five-star experience with this wonderful establishment in Polychrono, Kassandra.

Every time I have visited Taste of Greece, I have been greeted with the warm and authentic hospitality of the staff. The atmosphere is always relaxed and friendly, and the service is prompt and attentive.

The menu is a true delight for any lover of Greek food. From delicious meze, to fresh seafood, and the best lamb dishes, each meal is prepared with love and respect for Greek culinary traditions. I must also mention their excellent wines, which perfectly complement any meal.

We had sea bass, which was perfectly grilled and truly delicious – definitely the highlight of our visit. However, the non-alcoholic beer was a disappointment, as it wasn’t 100% alcohol-free (0.3%), even though we were assured it was. Since my wife is pregnant, we specifically asked for completely alcohol-free, so this was quite misleading.

The service (owner/shift manager) was polite and eager but not very attentive. Our empty plates stayed on the table for about 25 minutes, and we had to call him over ourselves to clear them and bring the bill.

The garnish was average – thawed potatoes – and many dishes on the menu were marked as frozen semi-finished products, which was not what we expected from a Greek restaurant. On the positive side, after paying, guests receive an ice cream as a small gesture from the house.

Overall, the fish was so good that we would come back for it, but we expected more authentic Greek specialties and a bit more...

The food was amazing. All five of us took something different and enjoyed our food. Portions were big.

Atmosphere was typical greek restaurant atmosphere. It wasn't the "greek night" so no plates were broken, but it was good.

As for the service, before we even ordered, we asked a waiter who was passing by about the portion sizes, and he said they're big, and that nobody ever complained on small portion size.

However, when our waiter arrived, we asked about a specific dishes and he said they are normal sized. We started to order our food, where he showed up a lack of patience, he tried to hurry us up. Hence the 3 stars. Would be 1, but I guessed he realized what he did and for the rest of our dinner he got really nice and showed some better hospitality and manners.

I'd recommend you to try the saberfish fillet, lamb Kleftiko and Chef's salad.
