Nice and friendly staff on the beach, nice and friendly staff at the bar. Rude and unpolite "manager". Within few hours of my visit over there, I spend several dozens of euro for what I ordered. Ordering at the bar directly as it was fine for me having a short "cooling down" walk from hot beach. At some point of the day I placed an order that was taken by the staff (a few soft drinks) but was never delivered. After 40 mins, and still having my order undelivered, I went to local shop for what I originally ordered here. After few seconds after I came back to my sunbed I was asked by one of staff members to... leave the beach! Really?🙄 Was told that it is "decision of a manager" who stood and stare few meters nearby. I went to speak with him but he spoke only Greek so one of other staff members was translating. I said that I bring my own stuff as they did not delivered my order and I was thirsty enough. His "another decision" was I need to place an order with them or leave the beach. I did not want to place yet another order at almost 6pm as well as I already spend a bunch of money with them this day. After several minutes I was approached again by staff members and asked to leave the beach... seriously? Seems you need to keep order and order and order to be allowed to stay on "their" part of sand. I would advice manager of this place to learn a bit about customer service as this is something that definitely was skipped during his introduction at Almira Beach Bar. Thanks and...
Read moreI have just left Almira Beach, after visiting for the fourth day in a row, and in my 46 years, I have never had such an experience. When we first arrived, everything seemed great – a polite young waiter guided our group of six to a sunbed. We settled in and watched the waiters doing their best to serve the large crowd, with varying levels of success.
About an hour later, one of my friends approached a passing waiter and asked if he could take our order. His answer was, “I’ll be right back.” Unfortunately, “right back” turned into another hour. During this time, I noticed the waiter was busy clearing empty tables instead of taking new orders – something I honestly cannot understand, since serving customers directly brings income to the business.
When he finally came to us, four of my friends placed their orders, but I declined, as it was already too late for me to enjoy anything in peace. I like to eat or drink without rushing, not feeling like I have to chase after service. At that point, the waiter unexpectedly asked me to leave. I dislike conflict, so instead of waiting another 20–25 minutes to dry off, I packed my things and left.
If someone in my own company behaved like this, they would be dismissed immediately. I’m sharing this for management to consider, in case they are wondering why revenue might be lower than...
Read moreI have been going to this beach bar for over 10 years but after what I experienced yesterday I will avoid this place for now and spend my money elsewhere.
After I was offered a lounger by the pool with my girlfriend on Wednesday, July 6th at around 1 p.m. and we spent a great day, on Thursday July 7th at around 12:30 p.m. (by a different staff than the day before) that there were no loungers available by the pool. This, although the entire pool area was empty...
I was asked beforehand if I had a reservation... In my entire life I have never needed a reservation on Thursdays to get a lounger anywhere.
The employee from the day before recognized my girlfriend and me and told his colleague that we already were there the day before. Suddenly everything was possible and we could choose any lounger we wanted.
Until we left there were always loungers or cushions available. I also observed how other new visitors were directly offered any loungers. I then asked these visitors if they had a reservation, and they said no.
Strange that I am asked if I have a reservation, but other guests don't...🤔
When I asked the employee what the action was about, I was given some excuse as to why this situation came about.
If I am first told that I need a reservation and then, just because another employee recognizes me from the day before, there is suddenly a place for me, then that really does not reflect well on the store.
I am 35 years old and have been a regular at the Almira for at least 10 years. I would never have thought that I would experience a 20-year-old employee doing such an outrageous action and then lying to me why it went like this.
As an aside, the service that day was also lacking. Water was given to us lukewarm several times without ice, while the guests next door got water chilled properly, or the water with the coffee was completely forgotten, when we asked we were looked at funny
