I ended up going multiple times at Medusa during my stay in Paralia, and even though it started really well, the details of this restaurant started to take shape as i repeated my visits.
In the first evening, the host guy was really friendly (he was like that every time i went there), and he found us some seats really fast as the terrace of the restaurant was always full in the evenings. Serving was neat and fast, with no mistakes, really well executed dishes with good taste, balanced flavours, decent size dishes, and the typical greek demeanour towards tourists, smiley faces and friendly approach.
The second evening, wait time increased until a table was found, but the fault on my side was that i never called or asked for a reservation in advance. I had no issues with a bit of waiting since the first day was really nice. I ate again a vegetable bruschetta as an appetiser, but now the bread was a fail. They somehow pre-toast the bread too early since the service was as fast as the first evening, really hardened toasts, ok, no big deal. The main course was really well executed.
Third evening, we had a group of 4, and i had fish soup, which was the only soup they always had even though on the menu they had 4 soups in total. One of the 4 had its dish forgotten. They simply didn't make it, and when all others were done eating our dishes, i realised they actually forgot completely about the fourth order at the table and went to the waitress to remind her that we are missing an order, which she acknowledged instantly, so props to them.
The fish soup ... i actually had to ask the waitress if it wasn't a mistake because there was no fish or fish flavour in the soup, which she did and went to the kitchen to ask and apparently, that was the soup, more vegetables and she had to point out that there were some fish meat mixed in ... i assume they had served it from the bottom of the soup pot, thus the lack of fish in the dish. Good taste anyway, but it's strange that i was confused about the type of soup based only on the taste. It should be quite obvious when it's a fish soup that it has fish in a decent amount, not only a few fish crumbs.
The fourth time, i went earlier, found free tables, and the dish was ok and well executed, but it was pasta with shrimps, one of the more expensive main courses on the menu, but still a decent pricing overall. Nothing was really expensive from the menu (at least for my pocket).
What i realised is that most places in the tourist regions of Greece want you to pay cash, but they all have EPOS, so i usually paid with a card.
Conclusion - avoid going during evening hours (20:00 - 22:00) without a reservation because it's usually full. A neat place overall, pretty good food and well executed dishes, fast delivery with ocazional 'glitches' in the overall experience.
It's not a 5-star experience, especially when repeated. It's more like a "try to eat fast and leave" expectation on their part, which makes sense since they want to process as many orders as possible in a short time. But also, well over the Paralia overall average, but not the best, there are a few restaurants which are clearly better at execution and overall atmosphere in Paralia.
As always, this is a subjective take based on my experience over multiple days with this restaurant. Others may have found it better or worse. I hope it helps you to get an idea about what it is like to...

Update: 4/07/2025 We came back for the 3rd time and tried some other dishes: The fish soup is exquisite; I recommend you squeeze the lemon and add freshly ground black pepper to it for the best taste
The grilled calamari is perfectly cooked and it goes really nice with fresh pitta
The talagani cheese with nuts and jam was so lovely, perfect to share for a quick, delicious appetiser
*The chicken schnitzel - if you have anyone in the group who is not so keen on seafood (like my dad), the schnitzel is a perfect choice, crispy and flavourful, and it comes with the hand cut chips
Update: 02/07/2025 We came back for a second time and had the following: Medusa seafood pasta - if you love pasta and seafood, I cannot recommend this dish enough. I also added a photo. Pro tip: save the pretty shells from your dish and wash them, you get to keep them as a free souvenir
First Review We came here for our very first meal in Paralia after a long car trip. We were really hungry and it was really busy, but the staff was very lovely, someone welcomed us at the door with a smile and explained they can get us a table in 20 min if we wanted to put our name down and wait, which we did. We came back 20 min later and we had a fabulous meal. Me and my mom wanted a seafood feast and we ordered the Special Sea Food platter to share for €30. We did not expect the huge portion we received with a big crab, a variety of fish, octopus, squid, oysters, and shrimp. There were also fries to complement the meal, plenty of lemon and two very nice sauce pots. Me and my mom couldn't finish it, so we asked for a box to take some home. This platter could easily feed 3-4 hungry people.
It is very good value for money and the food is delicious. 💯...
Read moreA special culinary experience at the Medusa restaurant. I ate twice, the first time for dinner and the next day for lunch. The evening when we arrived, we didn't have a reservation, the restaurant was full, but the two meeter greeters told us that if we were willing to wait about 10-15 minutes, they would find us a table available for two people, and that's how it was. Very kind boys (one Romanian and one Greek). About the food, I have nothing but words of praise, everything is fresh and well cooked, we served squid, clams, shrimps, various kinds of fish. When we served lunch, the same kind boys informed us that they had small delays in the delivery of the dishes because they have some missing personnel, but the delay was about 10 minutes, while we cooled down with a lemon water. The waiters don't stay at all, I asked for bread and they immediately brought it, I asked for some ice and someone immediately came with ice. Everything is superlative for this location, the reception, the service, the food. We also had a small furry guest who wanted to sit with us at the table, a very nice cat. Oh, and don't forget, each time we didn't get to ask for dessert because they brought us a small one...
