Eleni Tavern — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

Tried calling to make a reservation at least 3 times, no answer. Went there, only one that was speaking English was the "boss", he said that they don't have any table for 6, although there were 2 tables of 4 available in the spot. They said we should wait until a table of 6 is free, we talked for 2 minutes on what to do and when we decided we can wait at the bar they said someone called 1 minute ago and reserved it. To bad, we are at the next tavern. In case you want to come here don't expect to find a free table in the high season. Make a reservation.

Response after owner response : How did you know when I called ? I didn't call 3 times in a row, I called 3 separate days at different hours. This is something I actually told you when we were tiring to find a solution to eat there ( we as in my group ), it would have been expected to figure out a solution : make a new table for us, tell as to wait at the bar, call your reservation to make sure if they are coming or not, etc. WE suggested all these solutions, not you, and you weren't offering any actual response, yes/no. We were just staring at you when my friend with 2 starving children normally demanded an answer, can we eat here or not ? Of course it is a rude response, to a rude attitude on your behalf that couldn't figure out a solution although you had a 4 people person available, a 6 person available...

I am gluten intolerant and this is the only restaurant I found in a week in Lefkada to have the GF mark in their menu.

Hands down for such a good care to GF people. The lady taking our orders explained why some dishes might contain a bit of gluten, she gave me the right recommendations and when a mistake happened (i accidentally ordered a vegetable dish not marked as GF), she informed me right when the dish came to the table and didn’t even put it on the tab.

We had their Bouryiourdi dish, which was so much better than in other places - feta in the oven. Fava beans, delicious. And a Greek salad, plus beef stew with pasta.

Overall, we were impressed by the kindness of the staff, their hospitality, the delicious food (made like mom would make it) and, their care and interest...
