Platanos Grill House — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

This place is by far one of the worst restaurants we’ve ever visited, no matter the country. We were expecting the complete opposite based on the Google reviews. Please take a look at the photos I’ve uploaded and decide for yourself.

We were willing to overlook the uncomfortable tables, chairs, and the smelly atmosphere, expecting that the food would at least be good. However, when the food arrived, it was impossible to even recognize what part of the chicken we were served—it could have been a neck for all we knew. The same went for the lamb. It seemed like they just fried whatever parts they had on hand, completely ignoring what the menu stated.

What we were served was about 85-90% burnt on the surface, and just look at the photos to see it. Of course, we couldn’t eat it, and the inside was just as bad.

The Greek salad was another disaster—it was served with a lot of seeds still in the paprika, and they didn’t bother to remove the inedible parts of the tomatoes. The cutlery was also filthy, with visible stains, which made the whole experience even more uncomfortable. We honestly couldn’t believe we had chosen this place.

On top of that, the waiter who served us was quite unfriendly and unhelpful, showing no interest in answering our questions or explaining the menu.

We ended up paying an outrageous amount for an absolute disaster of a meal. I can honestly say, you’d be doing yourself a favor by avoiding this restaurant...

Platanos Grill House is a hidden gem of a small, family-owned restaurant. My friends and I recently visited, and we were absolutely amazed by the gyro they served. The flavors were authentic and delicious, leaving us craving for more. The highlight of our experience was the pre-cooled beer glasses, which added a refreshing touch to our meal.

The warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the waiters, who happen to be a brother and sister duo, truly enhanced our dining experience. Their attentive and friendly service made us feel right at home. It's evident that they take pride in their restaurant, and it reflects in the quality of both the food and the service.

If you're looking for a cozy spot to enjoy mouthwatering gyro and great beer, Platanos Grill House is the place to be. The combination of excellent food, amazing service, and a family touch makes it a must-visit restaurant for any food enthusiast. Tasty food, domestic Greek specialities. At first I've gave 5 stars for everything when I visited it my first time When I came after few days again when I ask for payment, waiter just tells you amount without receipt. I paid but I was suspicious since on my first visit I wasn't received an invoice and I felt I was tricked with amount I have paid. When I asked an invoice he begun to apologize he mistakenly switch my bill with someone else for almost double and gave me back rest of money I have paid. Then I realized that I have paid more at my fist visit too but it was too late for complaint. Anyways food is really good, but if you are foreigner take care what you ordered and what you are paying.
