Veranda — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

The place is so nice has a nice view and so much potential but the people who work there don't do much so that is very sad. It is not that they were not friendly, ok only one person of three talked to us the rest can't speak English at all. We had the restaurant for our own no one was there. When we came they were sitting chilling at one table and looked surprised that someone comes over. They didn't even look dressed up for service (homewear pants?!). She was friendly but forgot already our water we have ordered with the cokes, come on! The cook was more smoking outside than cooking. My dish came out of the microwave I am pretty sure as there were no music or any sound I have heard the sound of microwave. As a starter we ordered grilled feta cheese but what we got was cottage cheese with two tiny pieces of Paprika and tomato, so sad. The fresh fish was very dry. After we got the main dish nobody came around our table to ask if we need anything maybe a new drink. Instead of doing they were on the Phone, Smoking, all dissapeared or listen to greek youtube Songs, come on!!!!! Best thing as no one came anymore we had to go to them telling we want to pay. While she was on the phone and did not hang up. She made while talking on the phone the receipt and got the money and then had the nerves to ask if everything was OK and then talked again on the phone how rude!!! If you own such a nice place do something!!!! Play music in the back, work and do service you can chill after work! Do the meals fresh and use at least salt and pepper and Put...

Avoid this place !

We came here hungry after the beach and ordered a rocket (ruccola) salad 🥗. What we got instead was a generic mixed leaf salad with no rocket at all. When we pointed it out, the waitress told us, “That’s how we do it here.” Disappointing, especially when the menu clearly said rocket. I refused to pay for something that wasn’t as described, and they replaced it with a Greek salad.

The mains were better — I had the rooster with pasta, which was quite good. My girlfriend had grilled shrimps, but they were frozen, not fresh so not something special.

At the end, we noticed they still charged us for the original (more expensive) rocket salad instead of the Greek one we actually received. That left a bad final impression.

Decent food overall, but misleading menu descriptions and poor customer service. We won’t be coming back.

Good food, bad business model

The food was good, the beer was ice cold. Great view and cute little tables on a platform overlooking the island and the sea. It's a bit more expensive than the other restaurants we've been, but if you add the view, it's understandable. But when the bill came, and there were 2 euros for, as the lady said, the bread.. We stated that we didn't order the bread nor we touched it. The lady murmured that those 2 euros were also for the tablecloth, the salt, and the utensils (?!), and quickly left before we can say anything else. We won't be poorer without those 2 euros, but we also won't be coming back there.

It's bad business to take money off of tourists...
