We went for a quick dinner and try something apart from tavernas and restaurants. We had noodles with chicken, bao bun with pulled pork and another with fried cod, spring rolls. The noodles taste was really good, fresh, however lacking chicken and simply to say they were ordinary. The Bao Bun with pork is a top, balanced, juicy and mix of tastes. We had an amazing meal at Umami! We tried the Baobans with pork and with tempura shrimp—both were absolutely delicious. The flavors were fresh, perfectly balanced, and the buns were soft and full of taste. We also had noodles, which were just as impressive—savory, rich, and beautifully presented. This was disappointing. We tried both shrimp and pulled pork bao buns which were disappointingly underwhelming. The overall taste is “bread-y”, no real flavor. The pulled porked was dripping oil, the amount of meat was not enough in order to actually feel the taste, as I said, you could pretty much only taste the bread.
