We are staying a little way out of town, so selected this establishment for an evening visit, based on the reviews and photos here in Google Maps. We made the correct call!

Although the restaurant was quiet when we visited, early on a Wednesday evening, the waiters were keen and friendly, seating us at a good outside table to our preference.

Service was brisk and efficient without being pushy. Our drinks arrived quickly along with a small complimentary starter of gigantes, salami, cucumber and grated carrot. A nice touch.

Draft Alfa is available also bottled Amstel "Free" (I was driving). Local Rose wine also available by glass or bottle.

We'd seen photos and reviews of the seafood platter here and thought we'd give it a go. There are two options, small and large. The waiter explained that the large is exactly twice the size of the small, though less than twice the price. We went for the "large" as a sharing platter; again a very good call, it was ideal for a hungry couple.

The platter arrived after around 10+ minutes which indicated that it had been freshly prepared for us. A good sign.

It was absolutely delicious. The octopus was possibly the best we've ever tasted, extremely tender, juicy and with a wonderful flavour. The calamari, prawns and mussels were also great, all cooked to perfection.

The chips, which were burried under the ample seafood, remained crispy and tasty to the end of our genuine feast. The pitta bread too was fresh, scattered around the edge of the platter.

We were given a complimentary creamy Greek dessert, another nice touch by the friendly staff. We finished our meal with proper Greek coffee.

We would highly recommend this restaurant for any seafood lovers. We came away feeling very happy. Great food, good value and...

We chose Antivaro based on the reviews and were very glad we did so. In a street just between the main street and the sea promade lies this small cosy restaurant. We spend the whole day outside and have gotten quite hungry so we decided to have several appetizers to try as many dishes as possible. The rocket salad was amazing and came in an edible crust made of melted cheese! It was balanced well and the cheese added a nice crunch to it :) Next we ordered the feta baked in phylo in honey and it was divine - still warm, oozy with the honey and topped off with pistachios. We had the similar dish several times in Greece but this one must have been one of the best 👌 We also got the crab patties - I've personally never had any so why not try them now. They were very well balanced with the crab meat, soft on the inside and crunchy outside and full of dill. We really enjoyed them, although they tasted a bit better with the accompanying sauce than on their own. As the main dish we chose the seafood platter for two - our eyes were hungrier than us :D but it looked bigger than it was. The shrimps were amazing, grilled octopus was very nice, the fried squid was ok - we could taste the oil a bit but still the dish was very enjoyable and the home made potatoes were a nice touch and really good. The restaurant itself was very pretty, in a quiet area, nice service and we also got a small entre after ordering - really tasty chicken pieces with cucumber. Overall it was an amazing experience and I will definitely recommend them further! With affordable prices, this restaurant is a must visit...

If you're looking for an authentic Greek dining experience, look no further than Αντίβαρο Μεζεδοπωλειο. This establishment offers everything you could possibly want in a Greek restaurant and more.

From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with warm and welcoming staff who are eager to make your dining experience as memorable as possible. The ambiance of the restaurant is inviting and cozy, with traditional Greek decor and soft lighting that sets the perfect mood for a night out.

Now, onto the food. Oh my goodness, where do I even begin? The menu is packed full of traditional Greek dishes that are bursting with flavor and freshness. Whether you're a fan of classic dishes like moussaka and spanakopita or you're looking to try something new, there's something for everyone here.

My personal favorite is the gyro platter, which comes with a generous portion of succulent meat, perfectly seasoned fries, and a crisp Greek salad. Every bite is an explosion of flavor, and I always leave feeling completely satisfied.

The dessert menu is just as impressive as the main menu, with indulgent options like baklava and loukoumades. And don't even get me started on the wine list - it's extensive and features some of the best Greek wines I've ever tasted.

Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. The food, the service, and the ambiance are all top-notch, and it's clear that the staff take pride in delivering an exceptional dining experience to each and every customer. If you're in the mood for authentic Greek cuisine, this is the...

Mmmm!! What a delight of a place! They serve some TRULY impressive saganaki shrimps. Their octopus (grilled) was also a lovely surprise. The marinated octo was less impressive but we enjoyed the meal. The only thing is that the gentleman serving us seemed very strained with the number of guests but then just around 9 pm some help arrived. And even under pressure the service was excellent. We had such a nice impression of the place and it further improved by a complimentary dessert 😍 Thank you folks for having us. One minor thing: cars do drive very close to the tables outside so keep that in mind, not the coziest sitting in the world
