An iconic restaurant at the center of Metsovo. Visited on a public holiday and the whole village was very crowded. We had to wait for about 20 minutes to sit, as expected. Instead of plates they use baking paper, a nice touch as it is traditional. We ordered the meat mix and everything was properly cooked and very tasty. Tzatziki was also very nice. My only drawback was that tables were very close to each other so it was creating a noisy atmosphere and the waiters could not move with ease. Overall it is a nice place and I would visit again, ideally on a less crowded day.

Decent for what it is Pros In the heart of Metsovo Square Very traditional tavern, which is small but you can easily find to sit Staff were friendly enough to help us with info and what was best to eat It was very unique that they would serve us not in plates ut in greaseproof paper The service was very fast, we ordered and the food came within 15 minutes Cons They told us about the kontosouvli but it wasn't that impressive mediocre at best It's a bit pricey for what they offer. The main dishes are without sides With that few dishes I was expecting a better quality and taste

Good location with tasty sausage and cheese. The meat was overcooked and over-seasoned...unfortunately the paprika covered all the taste...sometimes less is more...too much focus on phishing guest. I guess that is a common practice in town. Keep the tradition and forget the other practices. Please take this review as an opportunity of improvement!

Really traditional and peculiar restaurant, very informal. They don't use plates but the food is served on sheets of paper. The meat is excellent, tender and juicy, very tasty, lamb and pork cooked on the grill. The best "Kokoretsi" (grilled lamb or goat intestines) I have ever had. The staff is very friendly. I will definitely go back.

The best restaurant in Metsovo! We’ve got a greek salad, french fries, tzatiki (a giaaaant portion), feta saganaki (like the French Fondue), sausages, pork and chicken souvlaki at a whole of 49.5 eur, including the 500ml of red local wine. The staff is formed by the family and they are very friendly!

This place was recommended by a local. It was an excellent find. Really great food and service. Really simple menu but it was all delicious. Especially the lamb intestines! Food also came out really quickly and was all served on paper instead of plates which was novel.
