Read moreWe were driving from Ioannina to Trikala and decided to stop over the scenic town of Metsovo on the way. We chose Galaxias for some good traditional mountain Greek food. We ate outdoors under tree shade. The service was great. The food was what I dreamed of. We got the Greek village salad, galotiri (trust me, this spread blows tzatziki out of the water), and then a bunch of meat & potatoes dishes as entrees. I was personally looking forward to eating the kokoretsi, and it was the best one I recall having. Of course we ordered grilled lamb chops, chicken kebabs, pork kontosouvli, and all of those classics. We were many people so we could share a bunch of plates.
