From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed like old friends. The owner is incredibly sweet and made us feel instantly at home. It’s the kind of warmth and hospitality you rarely find, and it set the tone for a perfect evening.

We ordered a variety of small dishes to sample as much as possible, and every single one was outstanding. The food was fresh, homemade, and bursting with flavor - authentic Greek cooking at its best. You can tell that everything is prepared with care and pride.

To top it all off, we were given a free dessert, which felt like such a generous and thoughtful gesture. And the best part? The prices are incredibly affordable—almost too cheap for the quality and experience you get.

If you're in Sisi and want a truly traditional Greek dining experience, this place is a must. Warm people, amazing food, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that makes you never want to leave.

My husband and I had an unforgettable dining experience at Nerolimos on Friday's night, though we missed taking a photo of the incredible goat dish. Our meal featured a bit of everything: red wine, succulent stifado, tender goat, creamy tzatziki, crispy fries, rich cheese, and more. Each bite was bursting with sensational, authentic flavors. The complimentary traditional appetizer and dessert, paired with a house vodka, were delightful touches. The red wine we enjoyed was perfectly chosen, adding to the richness of the meal.

Nerolimos is undoubtedly one of the top authentic and affordable restaurants in Sissi. The super friendly hosts made us feel like family, even giving us warm hugs as we said our goodbyes—it was our last dinner in Crete and Sissi, and we only wish we had discovered this gem sooner! 100% recommended! This is the place to go if you want to experience genuine Greek hospitality and charm, and amazing fresh food. We kept coming back because Niki and family were so wonderful -- you will be welcomed like an old friend!

We eat early (6.30ish) and always got a table right away, but it's really popular later so book ahead if needed.

There's a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where you're encouraged to really take your time and enjoy your meal, rather than feeling rushed. And leave room for the complementary raki and Cretan pies for dessert!

Niki also speaks great English and is very chatty which was lovely as our Greek is somewhat limited(!) She was able to recommend some amazing places to visit locally that we might otherwise have missed.
