Went on 17.08.17 to Alexandroupolis and wanted to eat dinner in the evening my wife dursed the Internet and found this location. There was good food right on the sea and good service. What awaited us was more than just bad, the waiter was unfocussed and in a bad mood looked as if he was just out of bed. When he realized we were foreigners he became even rude the menu there was only in Eastern European languages and English. English was indeed ok, but he could or wanted us when we asked for the dishes explain this only in Greek or in such a bad English that we could not understand anything. We then found a dish from which we knew and then ordered another half a liter of wine. First came the wine then the food of my wife and 15 minutes later came my food. When we later ordered half a liter of wine since my food was so dry that I could not eat without we were simply ignored, they were busy to put other tables to ours and each time they banged against our table. At this time my mood was no longer the best and I left my food. I can only say that was the worst (dining experience) we have experienced in the past 3 years and we are traveling all the time...
Read moreWe had an overall enjoyable experience. The highlights of our meal were the grilled shrimps, shrimp saganaki, and the pepper stuffed with tuna—all delicious and well-prepared. However, the fava and grilled calamari were somewhat disappointing. The fava resembled mashed peas more than traditional fava, and the calamari had a slightly bitter taste from the charcoal, bordering on overcooked.
The setting, though, was lovely. The outdoor seating offers beautiful views of the sea, adding a serene ambiance to the meal. The service was generally good, and the menu offers a wide variety of seafood dishes. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food and the prime location.
Overall, it's a great spot for seafood lovers, especially if you’re looking to enjoy a meal with a view. Just be mindful of the grilled options if you're particular about...
Read moreAfter reading the reviews I gave this place a chance. I was disappointed with the meal overall and want to share my thoughts; The food: we had a Greek and a beetroot salad, fried calamari, prawn casserole, seafood rice (Paella) and fried zucchini. Overall, the food was plain. Nothing tasted particularly good. Some mezes were sloppily prepared and a careful eye could see the the plates lacked attention. The calamari was particularly plain, which made me feel sorry for the poor animals that they died in vain :(
The place is situated next to the sea, which makes it perfect for a beer and maybe a meze, but nothing more.
The price on the menu seemed fair but it came out that they charged bread. Eventually we paid 7 euros more than we expected. Regarding the dinner I had last night at Nisiotiko, I'd rather pay a few euros more and have...
