View from Taverna and service are great. People working here are very kind and helpful - there was no problem with modyfying your dish. Menu is big enough and it has a little something for everyone. I tried few dishes: fried squid - very good, saganaki cheese also very good (fried cheese), fried shrimps also very good but remember to say you want them headless, grilled halloumi, carbonara with bacon and shrimps (i guess its based on cream and pasta is short or cut, but you don’t come to Crete to eat carbonara) and few more dishes. Only dish that was a little bit disappointing was fried dumplings with spinach (the spinach in two of them was partialy cold, but they were still tasty). Some dishes in the menu does not menton what kind of sides they come with so if you want to be sure - just ask, as I said people are friendly and helpful. Good choice of beer and wine. Would...
Read moreThe grilled Dorado was good 😄 but I was surprised to pay 17euro for it, it was actually not on the menu, I just asked for it without asking for the price, expecting that I would only pay like 12 euro. We didn't bother to us anyway. We just paid and left. So for the service, it was fine.. 😃 so as I said above there was a live Greek music, which made...
Read moreBeautiful, hospitable place with super fresh food, a wide spectrum menu of the best of Crete’s version of Greek food, and fresh fishes of the day, straight out of the fishing boat, featuring all the Mediterranean favorites including Dorados, Sea Bass, Sea Bream, mackerel, barracuda, and my favorite Red Mullet. But, best of all, the mediterranean purple sea urchin with its delicate reddish-orange meat, the tender octopus, and the delicious anchovies, grilled sardines and fried calamaris! A paradisiac view from the elevated dinner deck, pleasantly played local life music, and a wonderful host who speaks fluent English and loves to make foreigners fall in love with the food from Crete. Reasonable prices and friendly atmosphere. Highly...
