If you want to taste proper Greek cuisine, from the Greek-est family-owned restaurant, this is where you MUST go. So sad we didn't go there earlier in our holiday. We stayed in Palaiokastritsa, were not impressed with the food (tourist traps) there, so we thought we'd try the scenic, mountain villages nearby. We had the best food of our 3-week holiday there! My partner said she hadn't tasted Chicken Souvlaki more delicious than that, we also shared Gigantes Beans, which were made exactly like my parents used to make them when I was growing up in Greece, absolutely exquisite quality of food. The Greek salad was fresh and a generous portion and our table was, outside, at their balcony, with breathtaking views of the entire south West of Corfu. The ambience was lovely, the service was warm, attentive and the whole restaurant emanated a sense of coziness and holiday relaxation. Everyone else was amazed at the food too, the Italians behind us, a Scottish couple at the front, Polish family a bit further down, what an outstanding little gem of a restaurant. I will 150% recommend this restaurant to everyone I can, it's what Greece...
Read moreThe sea bass was not good. Overdone and served with old and not freshly looking salad. We told it to the owner and she started lecturing us that we don’t understand from fish! We have definitely expected more for the price of 18€. The Tarama was very good.No draft beer.
We were sitting outside and at one point we were attacked by many wasps, so we moved inside. There was no effort by the staff to protect the guests from the wasps. The wasp plague is everywhere on the island and almost all restaurants take measures to keep the insects away (burning grinded coffee or smth like this) The “terrace” is actually a small balcony, fitting only 4 small tables.
The view is nice but not so breathtaking because it is blocked by adjacent roofs. For a much better view of the bay, go to the cafeteria to the left of this restaurant, they have a huge terrace and...
Read moreWhat a gem of a restaurant! We came here after a day at the beach and it truly exceeded our expectations. The views are absolutely breathtaking - be sure to grab a table at sunset, you won’t regret it.
The staff were so welcoming and kind, and since it’s family-run, it has such a warm, personal touch. We even met the two chefs in the back, who were just as lovely as the food they prepared.
The dishes were incredible. Fresh, generous portions at great value. The moussaka, in particular, was one of the best we’ve ever had: perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and you could tell it had been made just moments before reaching the table. The restaurant itself is small, quiet, and charming, making it the perfect spot for a relaxed meal.
We couldn’t recommend it more highly, and we’ll definitely return if we’re ever lucky enough to come back to...
