Very disappointing. Lovely view and food was nice but expensive. A relaxing meal was totally spoilt by being brought main courses whilst still finishing starters even though they were not busy mid evening. On challenging they eventually offered to take mains away though as we were told the food would spoil and some of party already started to eat we did eat mains directly on top of starters. Decided to go elsewhere for deserts and final drink for the evening. Complained to owner/chef on settling bill as they also charged €9 bank surcharge which was sold as being our bank fee (which it was definitely not) and not charged anywhere else in Corfu. The owner/chef was unapologetic, not really bothered by our poor experience and just walked off having agreed to refund the €9. Food good (nothing special) but given probably most expensive meal in Corfu highly disappointing and certainly wouldn’t return or recommend. So many better alternatives nearby where owners and managers...
Read moreThe food was great and the service during the meal was okay, not great. But when it came time to pay, we were told there would be an “exchange fee” just because we’re from outside the EU. We were using Monzo, which doesn’t charge any foreign exchange fees — the rate is always handled by the bank, not the card machine.
What actually happened is the card machine forced its own dynamic currency conversion (DCC), giving us a worse exchange rate. We should’ve paid exactly what the bill said, and I felt like the card machine forced the exchange rate manually. If it hadn’t, we would’ve noticed — we paid by card everywhere else without this issue.
It’s not about a few euros — it’s about principles. You can serve amazing food, but if you try to sneak extra charges at the end, you lose trust. That’s the lasting impression.
P.S. The sea bass was just too small for the price — €140 for 3 meals...
Read moreIf you around Corfu town, you must have a dinner here! This was near our hotel so I found it on a fluke on google. It is a smaller boutique restaurant and bar tucked away on a back road near the coast. My wife and I like quieter places so we can converse, relax, and enjoy the food - this spot checks all the boxes. Timing the sunset right will give you stunning photos of Corfu. The wine list was extensive and we were giving amazing recommendations. We tried a local Greek wine that perfectly complimented our dinner meals. Based on what I saw coming out of the kitchen, I don’t think any dish will disappoint. The chef is passionate about Greek cuisine and it shows in the dishes. Even though the space is on the smaller side, they will accommodate larger parties. And a reservation is always recommended to help get the tables on the railing. I would recommend this dinner spot for anyone...
