Over in Corfu/Gouvia for a week's break from Uk, We'd tried to come to the bistro just in front of this restaurant, as we pass the bistro regularly walking to the bus stop from our nearby hotel... (However the lovely maßtre d' lady @ bistro said they were fully booked & escorted us around to the sister restaurant 'RR Rodostamo Restaurant' behind/part of a 5 star hotel complex) We were handed over to Dumitre, that runs both establishments. He showed us to our table and soon after a waitress gave us menus and offered us water.... I was a bit hesitant as the establishment is part of a very upmarket hotel and overlooking a fantastic pool, I thought the prices would be astronomical... And the guests were pretty smartly dressed, however Dumitre was back and reassured us all was ok and made some recommendations of some of the popular dishes....We started with the cuttlefish to share and the was very tasty, not what i expected, very sucklent and with a light tomato sauce, my wife went for a superfood salad for her main & me the shrimp risotto, wifes apparently very nice and mine very tasty with 4 large prawns on side.. A glass of wine with main was tasty...Then it started coming down in buckets/ a very heavy tropical rain storm... We thought we'd get drenched, but no Dumitre offered us a life to our accommodation in hotel van and even a dessert as we very very nervous/or the wife was I should say as we were in beach clothes and we'd have a 15min walk to acc...We can't thank Dumitre enough for looking after us and caring/offering us the life.... However the food was overly priced for the quality and quantity of food. Food was dry and flavourless, tables didnât have salt or pepper shakers. We could not finish our food. We are guests at the hotel and each night the restaurant is never busy, 4-5 tables served max in a 3 hr time span (shouldâve been our sign to dine elsewhere). If youâre looking for a lively place, this is not it. Weâre genuinely surprised that this restaurant has so many good reviews, we wouldâve never dined here if it werenât for all the 5 star reviews. Ătant enceinte, je commande un burger pour lequel je demande sans fromage, sans salade et la viande bien bien cuite. Je reçois une premiĂšre fois mon burger avec une viande Ă point. Jâinforme une serveuse que je ne peux pas manger cette viande car elle nâest pas bien cuite et que je suis enceinte ce qui peut ĂȘtre dangereux pour moi. Elle me demande si je lâai expressĂ©ment demandĂ© lors de la commande, oui la serveuse lâa notĂ©. Elle renvoi mon burger en cuisine et je reçois Ă nouveau ma viande Ă point mais bien cramĂ©e autour. Je dĂ©cide de laisser tomber et de ne pas manger le burger. Au moment de payer, jâinforme la serveuse que je ne paierais pas pour le burger mais que pour les frites car ce nâest pas bien bien cuit donc je nâai pas pu le manger. Elle me dit ah je ne sais pas, je vais voir mais en mĂȘme temps câest vous qui nâavez pas fait le bon choix en commandant un burger. Pardon ? Nous sommes dans un 5 Ă©toiles, il nây a pas eu une seule excuse du personnel, pas un geste sympathique, et en plus câest de ma faute car je nâai pas commandĂ© le bon plat ? Câest une grosse blague. Je nâai finalement pas payĂ© mon burger qui coĂ»te quand mĂȘme 18⏠et heureusement. Bref la nourriture est peut ĂȘtre bonne je nâen sais rien jâai mangĂ© que des frites mais ce qui est certains câest que si vous ĂȘtes enceinte, allergique Ă quelque chose ou intolĂ©rant soyez vigilants. Je ne recommande pas ce restaurant car je considĂšre que lâexpĂ©rience client est trĂšs importante surtout dans un hĂŽtel « 5 Ă©toiles ».
Ma seconde note est 5 Ă©toiles et voici pourquoi : PremiĂšrement, il est, Ă mon sens, important de conserver ma premiĂšre impression qui sâest amĂ©liorĂ©e grĂące au manager du restaurant. En effet, suite Ă cet incident, le manager a pris en considĂ©ration cette mĂ©saventure et a mis tout son cĆur Ă vouloir rĂ©parer lâerreur de sa collaboratrice. Les efforts fournis par le manager Ă©taient sincĂšres et câest ce qui compte le plus.
