Papagalos Fast Food — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

I dont know where to start from .... I came to corfu for the whole summer and I was looking for food places that I might like.Saw the outside of the place (thats why I gave 3 stars cause it was the appearance that drew me there) said lets try it out.Checked the menus for quite some time and after a while I made my decision to get a burger that looked very nice.The burger came in a decent amount of time it was looking very nice ,taste was also nice in the end,service was very mid, the atmosphere wasnt half bad either and the prices were also kindaa reasonable I guess for the portion of the food(9€ for some nice amount of food).Either way thats that buuuuut in my second visit there is where all the things happened.Service 0/5, I asked for the same burger as last time and I said exactly the same thing as last time : "I want that one burger but instead of parmesan cheese put cheddar because im Allergic! to it" guy nod his head didnt say anyting thought he understood.Later on after a wait of time of 50+ mins the burger arrived.Because of the super long wait time and how hungry I grew when the burger was placed in my table I took a bite out of it in 1 second .... and that was my mistake for not checking if the order was right.They in the end didnt swap the parmesan cheese I am allergic to and I instantly spit it out of my mouth.I walked to the employee that I ordered the burger from and told him : "why does it have parmesan cheese in it I thought I told you to put cheddar instead!" (later on I understood that he was the boss not just and employee) and he replied to me saying : "we dont change the products of our menu for no customer, the tastes are made to be exactly that we want to offer, if you dont like parmesan cheese then order another burger" either way I wont try to give you all our dialog as an example but the boss thought his fastfood place is some gourmet restaurant (for the prices aswell the catalogs/menus were changed after june and every food in there was atleast 3€ more expensive, I payed 12.50€ for the same burger I payed 9€ for 15 days earlier.They literally changed every pricing for tourist season so they can steal non-greek people thats really really disgusting and it should be illegal what an absolute scammer this boss was!) he refused to give me the right order and also demanded me to pay the 12.50€ for the wrong order or he would call the police.It was my worse experience in this island so far.Stay away from this place the guy really tried to poison me he knew I was allergic I said it to him 3 times (pst if the police is watching this please put him behind bars ... that was attempted murder, imagine going on vacation and you have to spend it all in the hospital if not in heaven because of food poisoning).Place might look nice but the appearance is just there to deceive you and bait you into going in their scam business.

We had dinner at this place the 19th of August, we were a group of 10 people. We can not say anithing bad about quality and food taste, but we have to say that the service might have been a little too harsh: I ordered a double portion mix grilled and when they brought it I found an insect kind of glued to a sausage, it seemed it was cooked with it. The experience wasn't bad due to the unexpected surprise per se, but it was mostly due to the treatment they gave us when we tried to talk to them about it. One of the waitresses and the manager (I think) came to our table almost screaming saying that it was impossible the insect was their fault and that it must have fallen on the sausage after they brought the dish (not possible seeing that it was already dead and attached to it). Our complain was to just point out gently the awful surprise we found hoping for a change (just the sausage), instead we got surprised by how rude they were. Tourists beware - workplace bullying against young female staff. We ordered a salad and asked what sauce it came with, but young new staff member was unsure. We ordered anyways, and it arrived lathered in mayonnaise. We politely sent the dish back. The older male manager attempted to charge us for it, but we explained we didn’t eat the dish (honestly inedible with the piles of mayo on top, not mixed through at all). He dragged the young female staff member to the register and yelled that she would be paying for the item we didn’t eat. Everyone in the restaurant was uncomfortable and we couldn’t believe how awfully this young girl had been treated. We said this was unacceptable and paid for the dish rather than have the young girl pay for it. Bear in mind that this was after waiting 30 mins for our food and missing one main meal at ordering.
