Cafe Uno — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

AVOID! My partner and I saw a deal advertised—2 cocktails and 2 shots for €12—so we decided to pop in for a quick drink before heading to bed. After finishing our drinks, we went to pay and were told they don’t accept cards, even though there was no signage or notice about this before. We only had a card on us, and the staff member (presumably a manager) said he didn’t want to take it “because of tax.”

Then, despite saying he couldn’t accept card, he did end up charging us—€14 by card instead of the €12 advertised. When we questioned it, he was rude and dismissive, and the whole interaction felt very unprofessional.

We also witnessed him treating a staff member aggressively in front of customers, which was uncomfortable. On top of that, the smell from the toilets was awful—even noticeable from the seating area. And the cocktails were mostly just ice.

It’s a shame, because the music and general atmosphere weren’t bad—but the poor service, overcharging, and unprofessional behavior completely ruined...

AVOID THIS BAR! - False advertisement and unprofessional

There’s a sign outside advertising “2 cocktails + 1 shot for €12,” but there was confusion between the waitress and the bartenders about which cocktails were actually included in the offer. We were eventually served, and while the drinks were decent, the atmosphere in the bar was poor and there was an unpleasant smell, so we decided to leave soon after.

When we went to pay, the waitress told us to go to the bar to pay by card. However, the man behind the bar (the owner) refused card payment, saying he doesn’t accept it “for tax reasons,” and attempted to charge us higher than the advertised price if we insisted on paying by card. He was rude and unprofessional when we explained we had no cash.

It was also uncomfortable to witness how he spoke to the waitress, which left not just us but other customers visibly shocked. Overall, I would not...

Scam artists. We strolled down the beachfront and stopped to get ice cream. We were charged €10 for two tubs of two scoops each. I had to just laugh at the guy when he said it. My fault for not asking prices first. I'm going out of my way now to find every review site these guys are on to share. The ice cream was terrible also, honestly how do you screw up ice cream? Advertised as bounty and kinder bueno etc, it most certainly is not.

I don't mind paying somewhat tourist prices but jesus. From the other reviews it seems we're not the only ones to get done by this guy. He brings shame to the rest of the incredibly friendly locals who we were happy to buy from elsewhere...
