Location: The Place is not that big and it is a bit cozy, but the spaces are not meant for a restaurant. It could be excellent instead for an Enoteca/Spritzeria with some food like taglieri and cicchetti. Menu: A very limited menu, and I found outrageous to see salami 50gr for 4€ besides the bresaola 11€ of 50gr. This in term of business, as Italian, shows me that you have an issue with the supply of Italian products. So, I highly suggest you to check out Bella mamma Italian food on Google, as you can have Italian stuff for decent prices delivered from Italy. Italian plate made with greek products easily found at supermarkets, this has been a complaint made by many reviews and I agree. If you wanted to be a meze it would be great to be but if you claim an Italian experience, at least bring Italian products. I have been served radikia as per menu was friarielli, which are out of season, but on the menu we're still listing like that. (Of course they informed about it, but at this point remove it from the menu when it is out of season), the sausage is not an Italian sausage, and it was clear a local greek sausage neither coming from lefkada. Service: a bit to revise the roles of the stuff. One has to stay at the drink preparation, in order to not delay the serving process and one at the welcoming and servicing on the table. An extra person can instead cover the cleaning table process.

I think the main issue is the business that need to be revised. Because this place miss of an identity, it cannot be a restaurant as in Halandri there are more Italian well established restaurants like la Bottega da Marco. It cannot be a cava, as another cava is available but is missing the Italian products. It can be a Gourmet salumeria? Probably but there is "Il Giglio" on the other side of Halandri In the shopping centre. So, I would suggest a Spritzeria/Enoteca with taglieri and small greek-italian fusion meze. Something that can combine both cultures and be unique.

The menu can be reduced to 10 meze (creative with italian-greek fusion), 3 taglieri offer ( 1 with a selection of 8 cheeses from Italy for 18€ , 1 with a selection of cold cuts of 8 different salumi for 20€, and one combined for 30€) + An offer like 4 spritz + 1 combined tagliere for 60€.

The local need to be a bit rearranged, the kitchen is open but not on the view and not protection between the kitchen and the corridor. If they move to a different kind of business model, they can rework the organisation and maybe make a full exposure of the Italian products they serve.

Of course, these are ideas as Italian, I felt pretty scammed from the place but I wish really to grow as business and I am pretty sure that if you will find your identity as business you will be one...

Very cozy little Italian restaurant, hidden in a small street of a very busy area (Chalandri has one of the best shopping markets in Athens!). Small and concise menu card with homemade tastes (loved the con carne option which traveled me back to child time). Everything we have tasted was amazing and the portion was really good! The owner is cooking herself conbining the Italian and Greek tastes and ingredients with a unique style. All this combined with a rich and trendy cocktail card, interesting list of beers and well picked variety of wines (focusing of course on Italian). Both the inside of the restaurant and the little garden will allow you for a nice opportunity to relax after a shopping spree or enjoy a tasteful meetup with friends. I have been a loyal customer for years, but after my recent experience, I will no longer be returning. During my last visit, my partner, who is observing Lent, was refused ANY alternative meal options OTHER THAN BREAD. To our disbelief the owner also refused to prepare even a simple pasta dish with tomatoes. This lack of accommodation was extremely disrespectful, especially to long-time patrons.

The owner’s behavior was arrogant, more focused on igniting a confrontation than finding a solution. To make matters worse, the quality of the food has noticeably declined. It’s a shame to see such a beloved spot deteriorate so badly. I will no longer recommend...
