Loukoulos — Restaurant in Municipality of Chania

To keep it simple: we love Loukoulos.

We have dined here with a rather large group of 80 people and also with just two people. We were beyond satisfied both times! The service is outstanding. They are fast reliable and also easy to communicate to since all of them speak very good english. It's the small things you get to appreciate working in the same industry. They keep your tables clean throughout dinner, replace plates that are filled with shrimp remains and keep an Eye on your drinks so you never run dry. Just perfect. Even with over 80 peoples there were no hiccups.

Regarding the food we can vouch for a lot of the dishes, to point out a few of our favorites that we had in sum at least 16 times and all of them were perfect:

Appetiziers: Tuna Tataki shrimps with chili on avocado cream

Main dishes: grilled shrimps grilled octopus

Dessert: the apple pie

All of this with a reasonable prizing model.

A charming little bay with clear waters, though the beach club prices are on the higher side considering the size of the place. We paid €49 for two sunbeds in the first row, including an umbrella, towels, and a bottle of water.

Marathi beach itself is lovely — two small bays side by side, a few tavernas around, and a little port mostly for small boat rentals and tours. Thankfully, the boats are not intrusive, and you rarely feel them passing by.

We visited in mid-August, the height of the season, so it was impossible to find alternative offers (there are only three or four serviced beach clubs here). The lady at the counter was courteous and welcoming, and the beach water is clean and calm to swim in.

The bar, much like the sunbeds, is priced a bit above the local average — but given the small size of the bay and the peak season, it...

It's an amazing place to visit! Wonderful team, especially Natasha, Valentinos, Dimitris, Grigios Guys have been so lovely to us, we've been here for 5 times in last week, and every time we are coming here like to our friends to have nice conversations and just meet lovely people. Staff already knows our preferences, they have made great choice of wine for our evening. Very good people, smiley and positive)

Also location is wonderful, right next to the seaside with an amazing view. Style of the place is very simple and bright, wich is absolutely suitable for this area.

Can't ignore the quality of the food. Everything is delicious, hot and fresh. Thanks the kitchen for nice meals)

We also got a compliment at the end of the evening as a desert, which was so pleasant.
