I was having a nice time at Marati beach and popped into this place to ask to keep a fish safe for me and wife, the plan was to have a meal in a couple of hours. When we came back my wife realized I had mistaken this place with Patrelontonis which is a nice restaurant just next to this one that we had had a lovely meal last year. We felt really sorry for the confusion and apologized to the waiter who did not accept the apologies and instead started screaming at us in front of other clients. He said in a very loud and rude tone that I had reserved fish and because of my confusion the fish would be wasted. So I apologized a second time and offered to pay for the fish even though I was not staying there anymore. Again, apologies were not accepted and this man started screaming again the same words : "You reserved fish, blah, blah, blah. But this time louder. At this stage, we felt there was nothing else we could do so we just left the place. Some other clients felt so uncomfortable that did the same. All that carnival for a 350mg farmed seabass, really!?!?! For obvious reasons, I don't recommend this place to anyone and also Google doesn't, just notice that they have barely 100 reviews. Go to Patrelontonis instead, they have more reviews, good food and more importantly a...

We really enjoyed our late lunch here. Reserved a table for 3.30pm for 4 adults and a toddler. We had a lovely table right by the beach edge with a great view.

It’s a beautiful setting and the food is very good and reasonably priced. We all really enjoyed our food and drinks.

For the toddler, they have an ikea high chair with tray, which is perfect. They don’t have a kids menu but were extremely accommodating, offering to make special dishes. But, as it turned out, there were loads of things for him on the normal menu. We ordered him a chicken skewer and cheese omelette, both of which he really enjoyed. For the first time this holiday, the food they bought for him was perfect temperature, so he could eat it straight away without burning his mouth.

Would definitely go back, with or without a child. It’s a great place to spend...

It was horrible. First of all the servings on the salad were for a maximum of 2 persons and as we were a group of 6 we weren't informed about it. Secondly the cheese croquettes were disappointing to say the least, they were frozen on the inside when they were served and thus we could not eat them. Thirdly the risotto with seafood was badly cooked and the shrimp and mussels were undercooked. Last but not least the service was terrible as the waiters didn't pay attention to the tables and what we ordered wasn't written down half the time, for an example a beer was ordered and we had to inform the staff twice for them to bring it therefore it arrived 15 minutes late. Also it was very expensive compared to other places. So i would never recommend this place as it was terrible, i don't know they got 4.4 stars but I'm sure they don't...

The calamari here was so good that we went twice! Everything is 10/10 - the location, the staff, the food and the prices. Definitely the best experience for us after six days in Chania. It was very charming to sit at the water front and enjoy delicious food. What made the experience even more special were the staff. Everyone was positive, funny and so welcoming. It really makes a difference when the staff are happy and enjoy what they are doing. Definitely don't miss out on this hidden secret!!

The place is good. Of course. The food was not. I asked for Greek salad and I got salad that latterly contains big slices of tomato and a little bit of onions and cucumber. That's it. When I told the waiter about it, he said that's how Greek salad is. And then he brought me more cucumber. Second. I asked for grilled fish, I got fish with tomato... they love tomatoes here which what I know isn't a Greek thing but a cheap recipe.

We drove to Marathi beach because we had a few hours before our flight. The road down there was a little exciting, but very worth it. Veranda is located almost at the beach with the most beautiful view of the sea with mountains in the background. The atmosphere is great, staff very friendly and attentive, and the drinks and food looked pretty and were delicious. Defininitely coming here again the next time we visit Crete!
