They lure you in with a signpost saying "€6 for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella" - which seems better than elsewhere. What they don't mension is that the price applies ONLY when you buy something from their menu. When you spend money, you are treated nicely. As soon as you stop (no matter how much you leave there), the staff starts acting disrespectful and forces you to spend more. It makes a really unpleasant and pressuring atmosphere. Also bans you from eating your own food, EVEN WHEN YOU PAY FOR THE SUNBEDS AND SOME MEALS. The stuff is nice, but it's a pity, because it doesn't represent the traditional humble personality of the Greeks. I recommend paying a bit more for sunbeds somewhere else - you won't be forced into this tourist trap. Really unpleasant atmosphere. Also, you don't get a receipt and the sunbeds are illegally placed - definitely closer than 4 metres to the sea entrance.
EDIT (for the reply): I appreciate the response and truly understand all the struggles that come along with having a season-only job. But I still think taking a different approach would be much more suitable and profitable for your business. After all, most places in the area work like that. If you create a hostile environment, people will be less likely to return and won't be willing to spend much. Anyways, I wish you best of luck and hope to see improvement in the service, because you...
Read moreWe went here with our baby. Owner is a control freak. When we arrived we wanted to book two sunbeds and we were refused under the premise that they are reserved for someone else (total lie, when some other couple came they asked if the same sunbeds are available and he said yes without hesitation). After two hours (during which we also bought drinks - he was also pressing everyone to buy drinks and insisted you should not come with other drinks outside his taverna) we packed our bags to go and put the baby to sleep. When the owner saw us leaving his face dropped and he stared arguing with us that he can keep the sunbeds free for only one hour - rule which is not written anywhere nor we encountered anywhere. We then decided to leave for good and he became aggressive. He started saying random things like “this is not a hotel, I can’t keep your sunbeds for too long”. The fact of the matter is that he’s a greedy fellow and wanted to squeeze some other tourists to pay for our sunbeds while we were away. Thus leaving us with no sunbeds if we were to come...
Read moreAbsolutely will not be going back here! Lure you in, with a friendly gentleman approach. Told us sun beds and umbrella (blue) was 7 euros or free if you buy drinks etc. We ordered drinks, pizza and chips. The bill should have been 23 euros, however at the end we went to pay and they demanded 30 euros, they had added the sun beds onto the bill, there excuse was because we had bought a donut from a man on the beach, we had bought food outside the restaurant so had to pay for the sun beds. Shame really as we are going back to that beach in a couple of days so would have gone there again, however, we will be going next door to Nisaki, they only charge 5 euros for the sun beds and umbrella (white) and an English family said they had been there multiple times and never had any bother. Avoid Kostas at all cost, total scam, shame really because was really friendly to start with and the food was actually nice, just had to ruin it all over a donut. We would have gone Saturday to same spot for ease and probably spent another 25 euros but...
