What an outstanding elevated dining experience in a small unpretentious town! Great service but do be warned that they will get to you when they get to you and asking too many questions was not well received by the older lady running the front of the house (not unheard of in mom & pop places in Greece). The place must always be packed (locals and tourists alike). Every dish looked Instagram-worthy. 😅 If this was close to home, I'd go there all the time. Very reasonably priced, too! Well, this is my fav restaurant in Gytheio. It’s very well decorated and sparkling clean. I had here several dinners and lunches across the last 2 years. Always very happy about the quality of the food, the price and the service. Dinners are amazing with à la cart menu. Lunch is even better with daily dishes (on top of the a’ la carte) that are extremely tasty. Highlights: Hand made Dolmadakia, zucchini balls, kabab, chicken in orange sauce and multiple choices for stew (lamb, beef, veal). All dishes are amazing. And… if you are on a restrictive diet , they also have amazing salads. Fair prices for the quality they deliver, much better than most of ‘flat taste’ tavernas across the town. We came to this place for dinner as a couple. Our order: beef steak, pork chops in mushroom sauce with mashed potatoes, pork salad, and homemade rosé wine.

Food: The salad was very tasty and well-balanced. The steak was a bit disappointing — it wasn’t cooked to the requested doneness (I ordered Rare). The mushroom sauce, in our opinion, wasn’t the best choice and didn’t quite match the description.

Service: The order was taken and served quite quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. A small drawback — we were not provided with wine glasses.
