We had a rather disappointing meal at Vrachos. We ate the mixed grill (lamb, pork, chicken) and a mixed seafood plate (tuna steak, anchovies, shrimp). All of the meat plate was overcooked and none of the seafood was very palatable. The tuna steak was the best part and even it was a little overdone. The positives were that the view is of course spectacular, and the owner was a wonderful host and was very apologetic about our food, and was very receptive and thankful for the feedback. We aren’t one to beg for a free meal, but it would have been nice to at least comp our soft drink or bread to apologise. The views are not as special as the Mystical View next door, but the fish selection and quality of the food was very special.
On the night our daughter had pasta (what more does a 5yo eat!) but we had fresh anchovies, my wife had Sea Bass and I had Tuna fillet. Both cooked to perfection.
The owner and his niece gave us a great table to enjoy the meal from a cliff top with great views down to Komos Beach.
