Nice place, far from the touristic area. Great food, we ate very simple stuffs that were tasty. Open kitchen so no cheat you can check. Very nice and welcoming staff, good beer advice. Kid friendly place. At some point we were the only people not speaking Greek which is a good thing... We were on holiday in Crete and toured around to this gem of a spot. We were told that the town is often skipped by tourists but you really don’t wanna miss out on this food and people.

The food was the best I’ve had in Crete over multiple days and filled with soul. They also offer various traditional meals. The staff helped us with everything and was very hospitable.

Unlike other reviewers, we had a poor experience when trying their Tuesday’s special menu. Both dishes were way below expectations: The oven roasted pork was very dry albeit well seasoned, while the moussaka had two thick layers of potatoes and a very thin layer of eggplant and cream.
