Waikiki Coffee House — Restaurant in Municipality of Ierapetra

Nice food, quality alcohol and good location. But absolutely terrible and awful customer service. Which actually spoiling all customer experience and not making you come back.

Waiter coming just after 15-20 minutes you taking place. Independent of load. Even with low load, there is no waiter, you will sit as idiot 20 min.

2.Waiters are not telling their names, not welcoming you. Also they coming without menu. If you wanna check menu- you will wait it another 15-20 minutes. When it’s finally in your hands-another 20 minutes no one coming to take your order. You must beg for attention from his waiter majesty.

When finally order placed-that’s all. Total ignorance of your existence is starting. You need salt, or you need tissues ( which are extremely limited) , or wanna order additional drinks/alcohol waiter is not interested.

They are not busy to roll their eyes, to gossip staying in groups, to flirt with groups of male visitors-but they are busy to make their direct job. Deal with your problems by yourself, because waiter is doesn’t care.

Then you will wait another 30 min to catch waiter and pay finally.

Bad service place. That’s all. They are successful just because there are no competitors with same European kind of cuisine near sea side. In any other civilised city/country they would not survive with such terrible service. Strange that such a good place has no stuff trainings and 0...

this place had good reviews and was pretty popular so we decided to stop in. The beach area was absolutely disgusting. We sat for 20 minutes waiting for service down there. As we sat and realized it was really dirty and the tables were broken and the water is dirty as well, we chose to leave. As we were leaving, THEN the waitress wanted to come by. We told her we were moving to a table above to have coffee, but really, you left us there unattended for 20 minutes. You only want to get the money from us as we leave. We sat for a meal and coffee with unmotivated, slow service. The staff would rather not be at the restaurant. The waitress took a drink order a couple hours later and brought 4 drinks for 3 people from a misunderstanding. Rather than saying "oh, it was a miscommunication," she chose to blame me (a native English speaker) that I told her incorrectly, as opposed to she possibly didn't understand me. She argued with me about 4 times before she understood she was not going to bully me into taking accountability for something I didn't do. Overall, drive 10 minutes outside the center of Ierapetra and go to better...

Love this place! One of our favourite places to visit with my eight year old daughter. They have an indoor play area which has been great for my daughter to play in for the last 6 years that we have been going there. The food is excellent! We travel all the way from agios Nikolas just to go here for their waffles and burgers!

Update 2023: the food is still amazing and we love the place and the decor. However I forgot how extremely slow the service is and how miserable the staff look. Waited 20 minutes to order and then waited another 20 minutes to get the bill. This is frustrating when you have tired kids with you. Note: I spoke to the waitress about it and she said that she was the only one who could receive the money for the whole place, which was crazy! So not her fault at all. Poor girl was rushed off her feet!!

Also after 6 years of coming here they still don't have English menus so I am not sure that I can recommend too much to tourists....
