You can never guess what’s in store for you as you enter this traditional coffee shop located in a small street close to the center of Athens. I’ve been here many times with friends, and they would always look at me in disbelief: “this can’t be the place”! But this is really a piece of Crete, outside Crete. The moment you open the door, you’re leaving Athens like through a magic pathway that takes you straight to some little Cretan village. Their food catalogue is otherworldly, it’s never ending... They ran out of bread but still brought tzatziki. After 30 more minutes of bringing plates in a very random order while skipping a few, I decided to pay and leave. Took another 10 minutes standing by the cash register for the cook to come do the bill. The owner(?) who served us was so amazing and kind. The food was amazing and some of the best calamari I have ever had!
Our most recommended dishes are the loukanikos and the calamari.
