This taverna is tucked in the Finiki, a few steps from the beach. It is family run, they have their own boat to supply then fish - so everything is fresh. Great portions! Prices are the same as in every other taverna in the area. I would recommend the Karpathos small friend shrimps and the squid in cuttlefish. Everything else is good too, in particular the fish - but those two dishes actually stand out. A little gem, located a few metres away from Foiniki's port. Family owned, cosy, and lovely, the restaurant exceeded our expectations. The appetizers were delicious, with Xorta and melitzanosalata standing out. The fried kalamari were light, crispy, and delicious, which almost made me question my career choice. Maybe, after all, I was meant to become a fisherman. The silver snapper was so fresh that I felt like I was swimming in the seas of Karpathos. But, joking apart, it was excellent. È la mia prima recensione su google, sono seduto all’adiacente ristorante Delfino ma mi preme voler condividere la mia esperienza dopo aver deciso di andare via da questo ristorante. Non posso valutare il cibo, ma dopo essermi seduto con la mia ragazza, essendo in bagno al momento dell’ordinazione, i primi “sbuffi” hanno avuto inizio. Chiedo successivamente il pescato del giorno e, in modo apatico e irritato, mi viene mostrato un cassetto con dei Pargo. Chiedo se è tutto lì oltre a chiedere conferma se il pesce fosse fresco. In inglese forse sono stato poco “polite” ma la reazione è a mio avviso poco educata e professionale. Mi viene detto di prima battuta che il pesce è dell’anno scorso. In seconda battuta mi viene detto che non ne capisco nulla, che la scelta è ridotta perché si parla di pescato del giorno e che al supermercato lei avrebbe trovato tutto l’assortimento possibile e immaginabile. Dopo aver chiesto scusa per un eventuale fraintendimento e cercando di voler instaurare un clima amichevole vengo ignorato e defilato.
