Boroinó — Restaurant in Municipality of Kastoria

It is a cosy place on the north side of Kastoria facing the lake. If you visit the place you must be prepared to put up with their peculiarities. You have to like your burger charcoaled. It could be a nice one if only the cook remembered that there were burgers on the grill and he could show some respect to the customers. Another specialty of the venue is that they consider the fried potatoes as a dessert and they have the nerve to serve them when everyone has finished eating. Oh, and they somehow manage to forget what your order was, resulting in an awkward situation where half the party eating while the other half make do with some, nice, salads. Still, the prices were decent, and some of the food was edible. Perhaps on a usual workday our experience could be better, but I can't recommend it by any means, unless...

The worst experience in 10 day trip to Greece. We were couple. We ordered a big mixed grill plate with pork ribs, kebab, sausage and two types of chicken. All the meats were overcooked and dry. We complained about it and the waiter just said we didn't asked for degree of cooking and just went away witout even say that they are sorry. The salad was OK. Finally they charged for the full price and even didn't offer desert as on all the other restaurants they did. We ate less than a quarter of the food and we took the rest in a dogy bag - there are many hungry dogs on the roads on northern Greece. Pitty that this was our last...

Σαββατο βράδυ παρέα των 9 ατόμων.

Ο χώρος απλά συμπαθητικός με έντεχνη μουσική σε λογικά επίπεδα έντασης.

Οι σερβιτόροι εξυπηρετικοί αλλά λίγοι για τη δουλειά σαββατοβραδου.

Το φαγητό καταρχάς άργησε και έρχονταν σε πολύ μικρά κύματα με αποτέλεσμα να τρώμε σε δόσεις.

Οι μισοί νηστευαν οπότε επιλέξαμε σαρακοστιανα. Καλαμαράκια τηγανητά: πολυ μικρή μερίδα για 9€. Θα μπορούσαν να είναι πολύ πιο τραγανά. Καλαμάρι σχάρας: ή καλύτερα να πω θράψαλο. Κλασική απάτη σε ταβέρνες λες και ζούμε στον προηγούμενο αιώνα και δεν έχουμε Google. Θέλεις να σερβίρεις θραψαλο, να το κάνεις, απλά να το λες και χρεώνεις ανάλογα όχι 9,5€. Χταπόδι ξυδατο: εδώ υπήρχε το μεγαλύτερο πρόβλημα και η νέα μόδα εξαπάτησης του καταναλωτή. Μας σερβιραν πλοκάμι θραψαλου γίγας (1 για την ακριβεια) και ένα τεράστιο κομμάτι χταποδοσακουλα για 10€. Αυτό είναι κλεψιά αν όχι κάτι χειρότερο.

Φελαφελ δεν είχε. 21:00; αν νωρίς σαββατο βράδυ δεν έχεις όλο τον κατάλογο δεν μπορώ να το καταλάβω.

Τα αρτήσιμα δεν τα δοκίμασα οπότε δεν έχω άποψη, τουλάχιστον θα πω πως από Εικόνα φαίνονταν καλά.

Παω στα θετικα: Πολύ νόστιμη Φάβα με λιαστη ντομάτα και μανιτάρια σχάρας σε καλές τιμές και ποσότητα.

Το πιο θετικό εμφιαλωμένο ντόπιο κρασί ποιοτικό σε αχτυπητη τιμή. Ροζέ Στέργιου στα 18€. Σε αυτό δεν έχει ανταγωνιστή.
