We came here to have dinner and chose this place because of the vegan options we read about online (Happy Cow) - and we were not disappointed! We ordered 3 mezes and I have to say that the mushrooms cooked in ouzo is a must, and the beans with capers and walnuts was also super yummy. My partner (who's not a vegan) ordered red peppers stuffed with cheese and he enjoyed it too. Then we had vegan burger with salad and my partner a spicy burger with oven baked potatoes. Too much fuzz for nothing. The location is very nice. There is a big square outside the building. There is a cafe , a souvenir shop a bag shop and a food shop inside the building. The atmosphere looks too posh and pretentious. The music was radio music. The staff (a blonde girl) wasn't smiling and wasn' friendly. She was just typical. I had a mountain tea which cost 3.50€ which I found expensive for a cup of hot water, not even a teapot. The snack which accompanied the tea was a plastic unhealthy sweet, full of colours, sugar and carmine. I really don't understand why they promote such unhealthy snacks instead of a homemade cookie. Even though I live the last 3 years at the area,I had only once visited this iconic establishment,but for a quick drink . Today ,again ,I had the pleasure of tasting some of its excellent food and deserts . Freshness and quality made our palates happy above measurement. Above average the quantity was more than enough to fill an adult . The scenery , was there just to compliment the food. Fair to low prices if you consider that you are in the old town center and in the most iconic square of Kastoria. I highly recommend this place,and I will surely visit it again.
