While searching for a suitable location for our pre-wedding party, we came across Roots. With its beautiful location overlooking Kos and capturing the best sunsets, it was the perfect place for us. But what was even more wonderful was Thanos, the owner, the effort and love he and his team put into our event. From the floral arrangements, to the quality of the food, the drinks, the best Dj setup and just the genuine, authentic and heart-warming hospitality, we fell in love with the place, but even more with the whole team. I visited the restaurant with my friends to enjoy the sunset. All the restaurants was pretty much fully booked but we managed to get a table here. The food was alright, some dishes was very good, some was not as good. The salmon was very tasty but the lamb chops were so dry we had to send it back. The staff was super friendly and understandable about it and offered another dish. They did forget about one of our orders tho but apologised and tried to make it quickly. My boyfriend and I recently came to Roots and had the best night of our holiday here. It was one of the few places open at the beginning of our stay and it was beautiful, the view of the sunset whilst you eat is incredible, the food was absolutely amazing (we recommend the spaghetti bolognese), and the service was so fast and so friendly. It was about a 25 minute drive from Old town Kos- I never leave reviews but this one is more than deserved- well done Roots and well done to the two lovely men who served us!
