UNFRIENDLY SERVICE and the WORST FOOD WITH MISERABLY SMALL PORTIONS that we've experienced in Kos.We ordered gyros from the menu, which typically consists of a delicious large portion of fresh, well-seasoned meat with lots of fresh tzatziki, tasty rice, fries, and pita bread.
But not in this restaurant, they clearly serve tourist-sized portions with barely a portion of poorly seasoned, definitely not very good meat (resembled frozen kebab meat from the supermarket, not the good, traditional gyros), along with a few fries and 3 small slices of pita bread, a tiny dollop of tzatziki, and 2 thin tomato slices - that's it. No farewell when leaving - why would there be, the motto here seems to be ripping off tourists, as they probably only visit once. The view is the only positive aspect, but this is unfortunately greatly overshadowed by the poor, even disrespectful culinary experience overall.Tip: Definitely do not dine here if you know and expect the genuinely friendly nature and good quality of the local restaurateurs.
VERY BAD - DEFINITELY NO...
Read moreWe don’t know if the food was good or bad because we left the restaurant after a bad experience with the waiter. We asked for a table for a dinner (because it is said that the half of the restaurant with better view is only for dinner). As I was really hungry and my husband was not I ordered Moussaka ( I said it twice ), and ice cream for my husband. When the waiter heard about the ice cream he told us to change the table for one with no view. So basically if you want to eat dinner with beautiful view but your husband is already full, then this is not a place for you. This was the worst experience of our honeymoon in Greece and we are very sad about it. Edit (as an answer to the owner): My opinion is absolutely consistent with the truth. I ordered moussaka (DINNER COURSE) for myself AND a dessert for my husband so I don’t see why we should be moved to the other table. As everyone can see the owner of this place is not listening to his customers and his reading comprehension is very poor. We don’t recommend this...
Read moreWe were seated at a table, after telling them we were there only for a drink and to watch the sunset having already eaten elsewhere. That was fine. Then, another waiter came and told us we had to move unless we were ordering food - the edge of the balcony allocated so. We moved. We ordered some wine, which came in a cheap jug and a glass tumbler fit for a child's orange juice. I got up and asked for a proper wine gkass. We were then told that proper wine glasses were only for the house wine, at which point I objected! As I walked away, I heard the waiter use the word 'malaka', whereupon I turned round and picked him up on it. The coward then said he was speaking to his brother, not about me. The guy didn't realise I knew a few Greek insults. Aside from that, the wine was really bad and the place wasn't even good for a sunset view, which by October was way off...
