The Magician — Restaurant in Municipality of Kythira

We visited the place this summer and I chose this restaurant for offering a dinner to my dearest friends( big group of friends). I visited the place in the morning before the dinner requesting for a couple of big fish. But unfortunately, in the evening, one of the fish was not a fresh one ( stira is the fish name) They probably thought that we are completely ignorant on distinguish fresh fish. I made a gentle complaint and Instead of apologising to me, they lied further more to me saying that the fisherman forgot his fridge back and that is why the fish lost its freshness (lol) They were obviously mocking me in other words. Otherwise, the place is a cozy greek fish tavern by the seashore. I wouldn’t visited...

Magos is the taverna we all miss during the winter! Wi miss its excellent fish soup, fresh and properly cooked fish, all the main traditional Greek dishes they serve and above all the family itself. They are in the kitchen making the miracle happen and will always have something positive to say. It is not by chance that Magos restaurant is the only one in Kapsali that has not changed neither name, nor owner during the last -at least- thirty years! Definitely my favorite; they cover the whole “mama’s food menu” while including lots of options...

Ειλικρινά δεν μπορώ να καταλάβω κάποιες θετικές κριτικές κ προτάσεις που έχει το συγκεκριμένο μαγαζί.. Ήταν ίσως ότι χειρότερο έχουμε φάει ποτέ γενικότερα. Από που να ξεκινήσω.. Αρχικά καθίσαμε κ δεν μας μίλησαν καν ούτε γειά σας.. Δώσαμε την παραγγελία κ μέσα σε 30 δευτερόλεπτα ξεκίνησαν να έρχονται όλα στο τραπέζι, γεγονός που δείχνει ότι ήταν έτοιμα από πριν.. Η καβουροσαλατα ήταν το μόνο που τρωγόταν.. Οι πατάτες τηγανιτές ξανά τηγανισμενες ή ζεσταμενες είχαν άθλια γεύση δεν ξέρω πως γίνεται πατάτα να μην τρώγεται.. Το σαγανάκι ομοίως αίσχος που ειλικρινά τυρί κ πατάτες ήταν πως γίνεται να είναι τόσο άθλια δεν καταλαβαίνουμε.. Μέσα σε 2 λεπτά ήρθε η μακαρονάδα θαλασσινών η οποία ήταν σχεδόν μισή μερίδα.. Είχε μέσα τις πολύ μικρές γαρίδες που αγοράζεις από το μάρκετ, μισό πλοκάμι χταπόδι, μια υποψία καλαμαριού κ 3-4 μικρά μύδια.. Όλα ήταν κατεψυγμένα χωρίς καμία γεύση, ταΐζαμε τις γάτες κ το άφηναν κάτω. Μετά από 3 λεπτά ήρθε το γεμιστό θραψαλο το οποίο ήταν μικρότερο από την παλάμη μου κ γεμισμένο μόνο με πιπεριά κ ντομάτα, χωρίς καθόλου τυρί. Εντελώς άνοστο επίσης. Πληρώσαμε 65 ευρώ μαζί με το ούζο, κ μετά ψάχναμε σουβλάκι να φάμε... Στο τέλος αν δεν έλεγα γειά σας δεν σκόπευαν να μας χαιρετήσουν. Δεν ξέρω τι γίνεται με τα φρέσκα ψάρια που υποτίθεται ότι έχει, για εμάς η επίσκεψη...
