Amazing Restaurant, but be sure to go to the right one (the one with the blue chairs, there is another Restaurant right in front with brown chairs). Our host recommended this place and it was just amazing. The restaurant has an attached fish market so you can select the fish you want. The full grilled fish is not cheap (pink sea bream runs about EUR 70.00/kg), but both the quality, freshness as well as the preparation of the fish are worth every penny. The fish selection is different every day and depends on the days catch. During Off-Season the fish might not be on display outside but the waiter will tell you what is available and show you the available sizes in the cooler. Apart from the fish make sure to try the tzatziki (the best we had in Greece). The Greek salad, fried fresh shrimps and, well hidden in the "cooked" sections of the menu, Moussaka are also really good. The Moussaka is not available every day but if they have it it is worth a try. The rest of the menu is focused almost entirely on fish and seafood. The restaurant, like most restaurants in Greece, has a decent ouzo selection, don't be shy to ask for recommendations. If the fish is bigger allow more time to grill it (can be up to 30-40 mins) but you will be glad you waited. The grilling is really expertly done, slowly and with a lot of care, the fish skin is crispy and the flesh is moist and tender. Παραδοσιακή ψαροταβέρνα στο Λαύριο ακριβώς μέσα στην ιχθυόσκαλα του Λαυρίου. Το επισκέφτηκα πρόσφατα σε ταξίδι μου επαγγελματικό στο Λαύριο και κάθισα εκεί με την παρέα μου για βραδινό. Παραγγείλαμε φυσικά θαλασσινά και μόνο Καθώς είναι το μενού του μαγαζιού. Το πρώτο που μου έκανε εντύπωση ήταν η μυρωδιά που υπήρχε μάλλον από τις αποχέτευσης των γύρω ψαράδικων καθώς εκεί όπως είπα είναι η ψαραγορά του Λαυρίου. Για να διαλέξω ψάρι ο σερβιτόρος με πήγε απέναντι σε ένα Μαγαζί με ψάρια και αφού μπήκαμε στον ψυκτικό θάλαμο διάλεξα από κάποια καφάσια που είχε το ψάρι που θα μας έφτιαχνε. Ο χωρος ήταν κάποια τραπεζοκαθίσματα εξωτερικά του μαγαζιού Τα οποία ήταν κλεισμένα γύρω γύρω από νάιλον και για θέρμανση είχε μανιταρια υγραερίου. Φυσικά το κρύο σε ξυριζε Καθώς η πόρτα που είχε ανοιγοκλεινε συνέχεια Και ήταν ακριβώς πίσω από τα τραπέζια. Τα φαγητά τώρα ενώ οπτικά ήταν εντυπωσιακά τα πιάτα δεν ήταν τόσο νόστιμα. Την χειρότερη εντύπωση μου την έκαναν δύο πιάτα, ο γαύρος Μαρινάτος και το χταπόδι στα κάρβουνα. Ο γαύρος πρώτον γιατί ήταν Πολύ αλμυρός και το χταπόδι δεύτερον γιατί ήταν σαν λάστιχο. Η τιμή για αυτό που φάγαμε ήταν θεωρώ υψηλή. Όταν ανοίξει ο καιρός θα είναι ένα ωραίο μέρος για την οικογένειά καθώς έχει τριγύρω χώρο για να παίξουν τα παιδιά και έχει και αρκετό χώρο για να παρκάρεις αλλά είναι για να πας μία φορά Απλά να το δεις και όχι τίποτα περισσότερο. Επίσης κάτι άλλο που μου κάνει εντύπωση είναι οι τουαλέτες που είναι στον πάνω όροφο σε ένα σαν μπαλκονάκι και η απότομη γυριστή σκάλα Που έχεις να κατέβεις μετά την τουαλέτα. Φυσικά Και εδώ συνάντησα το φαινόμενο του παράνομου καπνίσματος. Μέσα και έξω. Όσο θα συναντάω μαγαζιά που αδιαφορούν για τους μη καπνιστές και για τους νόμους πάντα θα αφαιρείται ένα αστέρι γι’ αυτό και...

Hoy me he sumergido en la felicidad que solo un festín de deliciosos pescados frescos puede proporcionar en Kavrio al lado del mercado de pescados. En este rincón gastronómico de Grecia, he descubierto la exquisitez de sus platillos marinos, y debo expresar mi profundo agradecimiento por la experiencia culinaria inolvidable que me han brindado.

Cada bocado fue una sinfonía de frescura y sabor, un viaje directo al corazón de los mares griegos. Vuestra habilidad para resaltar la calidad y autenticidad de los ingredientes, especialmente los pescados, ha dejado una huella imborrable en mis papilas gustativas y en mi corazón.

En España, tierra de sabores incomparables, es raro encontrar un lugar donde los pescados sean tan frescos y exquisitamente preparados, desde la más absoluta de la sencillez culinaria. Vuestro bar se ha convertido en mi refugio gastronómico cada vez que regrese a Grecia.
