Disappointing experience at Beefbar - Style over Substance.
Our recent visit to Beefbar was underwhelming from start to finish. The service was notably poor – slow, disinterested, and forgetful. Starters arrived before our drinks, a clear sign of disorganized service, and when the drinks finally did come, they were below average at best, lacking balance and finesse (from concentrate pineapple juice, we asked for fresh).
The food did little to redeem the experience. A supposedly premium dish like black cod was served with bones still in it, the cordon bleu overpowered with the taste of truffle and the sides, particularly the mashed potatoes, were served cold. These basic mistakes reflect a lack of attention to detail in both the kitchen and service staff.
Perhaps most disappointing was our interaction with the general manager as we were leaving. When we raised our concerns, we were met with indifference. No apology, no solution – just a dismissive attitude that underscored the lack of customer care.
For a restaurant that prices itself on par with established names like Buddha-Bar or Zuma, Beefbar fails to deliver anything close to the same standard. The experience felt overpriced, underwhelming, and poorly managed.
In short, Beefbar leans heavily on its branding & beautiful aesthetic but neglects the fundamentals of hospitality. There are far better options on the island at the same price point – this is one we won’t be...

This will always be my must visit every time I go to Mykonos, this time I decided to go for lunch to see the view during the day and try their new to me lunch menu which was fantastic.
The views and setting as soon as you arrive are incredible and my favourite of any restaurant in Mykonos.
The service was very good, attentive and friendly without any pretentiousness or snobbery.
The cocktails are absolutely amazing and also in my opinion the best in Mykonos along with Pere Ubu.
We ordered the wagyu fried chicken which is incredibly and also pretty much your only chance to have any fried food in Mykonos not fried in seed oil which is great, we also ordered the hamachi which was amazing with such a good zingy sauce.
Then I tried the lobster pasta which was excellent and I thought very good price in Mykonos for €62, it’s only half a lobster but compared to some other places prices not too bad and it was fantastic. My girlfriend tried the burger this time and was not dissapointed saying it was one of the best she has ever had.
The dessert was amazing g and enormous, we ordered the chocolate soufflé for 2 but it was more like it was for 4. Fantastic good quality chocolate was used and the ice cream was nice too.
Overall definitely just go, it’s much better than any of the restaurants in town and much nicer...
Read moreOne star is too much for the experience that we have received at BeefBar.
Unfortunately we tried the location in Dubai before and had a great experience so we thought that it would be at the same caliber in Mykonos however I will remember it forever, and not in a good way.
My partner and I both ordered a Fillet mignion steak, but they failed to mention that the entire steak would be coated in pure big chunks of pepercorns. When I say that I mean you cant even taste the meat you pay for at this point and I nearly choked with the first bite.
My partner kindly asked the staff if we could have a steak without so much pepercorn as this wasnt mentioned, with an attitude they sent it back.
When I recieved the new steak after having to talk to the manager and wait 15-20 minutes, not only did it taste like a Mitchellin tyre but it was a completely different cut of meat. It had the look of an animal’s brain and was as chewy as it gets. 55€ for jaw ache, wasnt the plan for the evening.
Add on top of that the attitude of the waitress following this event was suprising considering the price of the food.
The view was 10/10, however it doesnt make up for a 200 € bill that had been nothing but disappointment and has left me with a bitter taste for the whole trip here.
If you are coming to Mykonos and looking for a good steak that is worth what you pay for, stay away...
