Second visit to this hotel, but having rated 5 last year, dropped to 3 this year. (Not sure why all trip advisor reviews prior to this summer have disappeared!?)|We booked 2 superior sea view rooms (one for me self and husband and one for our son) based on our previous experience at this hotel. I emailed the hotel in advance and requested the rooms close yo each other if possible and on the higher floors as we knew these had the best views across the pool towards the sea. To our knowledge all these superior sea view rooms are bright and spacious with views over the pool towards the sea. Unfortunately when we arrived late in the evening we were led down the steps to our rooms below the pool area (ie the lowest possible area of the hotel). These rooms were previously the standard room category and because they had been refurbished were now classed as superior sea view. They are nicely furnished with a lovely terrace looking out to sea, but smaller and darker than the previous room we had stayed in and the Wi-Fi didn’t work in one of the rooms (124). I did tell the lady at reception that we were disappointed with our rooms and that I had made the booking for 2 Superior sea view rooms based on our previous experience. She said that the rooms we were given had been refurbished and were now classified as superior rooms and there was no way we could be moved as the hotel was full. I was made to feel that we had inconvenienced them by requesting 2 rooms close to each other. On our 3rd day the air con stopped functioning; having reported this late in the evening we were told someone would sort it out the following day. No-one came. After 2 days without air con they finally found the air con unit was faulty and offered to move us to a sea view suite with jacuzzi for our last 2 nights. This was a beautiful large, bright room with fully functioning air con but the jacuzzi had no water in it!|The breakfast was not as good as we remembered from last year and on some mornings the selection was not as wide on the hot breakfast. The menu for lunch is good, but there was a really long wait (even the waiter apologized for the delay). |The music around the pool was really relaxing in the morning but by mid afternoon it was almost deafening club music. We did hear one couple complain and asked for the music to be turned down or changed to something else which they did.|Staff around pool/breakfast area were always smiling, friendly and welcoming.|On a positive note, the beds are really comfortable both in the room and around the pool. The cleaners do a great job of cleaning the rooms and public areas are very clean. The location, just a few steps from Agios Ioannis beach is superb and with a bus stop directly outside there is easy access into Mykonos town just 10 mins away for just €1.80. (Taxis are very expensive…€40 one way to airport..15 mins journey). We will probably return to Mykonos and would definitely stay in Agios Ioannis in the future, but sorry to say we would probably not stay at Manoulas based on our...

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, it is well located, pretty much next door to Hippie Fish, and although this was the hotel where Shirley Valentine was filmed it bears no resemblance to how it was.|The staff are lovely, particularly Costas on reception. Breakfast is very good, though a tea pot would have been a welcome addition (they had them at the bar but not in breakfast area), the pool area is absolutely stunning with Bali beds, or sun beds in the pool - there is am awful lot of posing for social media going on as both the area and the sea view beyond is amazing. There is no towels on sun beds happening here.|The snack bar is good, and although expensive, not as expensive as other bars/restaurants in the area .|There is a bus stop straight outside the hotel, 2 euros into Mykonos Town. They run every half hour. A taxi is 30 euros.|Rooms are cleaned daily to a high standard - room equipped with fridge. Pool towels are provided.||Couple additions I think would have been essential given the price - coffee machine or facilities in the room. I asked for a kettle from reception, then had to ask at the bar for cups and buy our own tea, coffee and milk from the shop.|Wine glasses in the room, you just get tumblers which we used as toothbrush mugs.|Bottle of water in the fridge - particularly on arrival. We arrived at 11 pm, there was no water, no shop and hotel bar was closed.||There are also no sun beds provided on the beach, although this is described as a beach resort. The restaurants have them and they are limited in supply and very expensive (between 80 and 180 euro a day).||All in all would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. We stayed for 11 nights, but many people seem to just come for a couple of nights...

My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for four days. I was extremely happy with my booking and full of expectations upon arrival. Expectations immediately betrayed when the room was handed over. The room, a standard sea view one, was not at all in line with the photos published on the website from which the booking had been made (pay attention!). For this reason I asked the courtesy of being moved to another room at the reception to a lady who had the air of being the manager. This lady reacted badly to this request, replying that the room had its own style and that in any case at the price at which they had sold it we should not have high expectations that newer rooms were sold at much higher prices as if to emphasise that we could not afford it. So it occurs to me that for this lady, there are A-range customers and B-range customers? Let's say that courtesy was not her strong point given also the way she invited us to leave the room, we received calls to the room starting at 11:10am when our check-out as per the booking confirmation email was scheduled for 12pm. Fortunately everything was resolved thanks to the availability and kindness of the other staff members and the hotel manager who moved us, under payment of a small supplement, to a beautiful room that made our stay at the hotel...

Everything about this hotel was amazing! The room was very spacious and clean and the balcony had a great view of the beach and sea. We especially loved the double doors that could be opened for fresh air and led out to the balcony. It was also very peaceful and quiet around the hotel (we came in May so it was ahead of the tourism season). The breakfast each morning was pretty good and there are a couple restaurants in close walking distance from the hotel (Hippie Fish and Visiliko's--both highly recommended!). The staff was wonderful--very friendly and welcoming. There was a time when we did not have enough euros for the bus downtown (the ATM down the street was not working and the closest one was a 20 minute walk away) and one of the staff working at the front desk in the lobby graciously lended us some money so that we could be on our way (on the agreement that we'd pay her back of course!). It was an unexpected but greatly appreciated gesture that we were very grateful for. Other positive notes: free wi-fi, pool bar (closes at 10pm), the bus stop is just across the street from the hotel, and the ride is about 15 minutes to Mykonos town (.60 euro compared to 10 euro cab ride).

Misleading pictures on the website led me to book this hotel for my Mykonos trip. I stayed in a „Standard Sea View Room“.. let the pictures speak for themself..unbelievable. The breakfast is a joke, bad quality ingredients, only one coffee machine for all guests which is self service although the staff is around, you have to wait in line like in a hostel to get some coffee. No parasols by the pool, never seen anything like this, how can you not offer parasols? You only get towels in exchange for some „towel cards“ which would make sense if they were super nice but they feel like they are 10 years old. The service by the pool is very choppy, some are really helpful and some are just lazy like the one bartender with prada shades who was just very rude and too cool to work. The pictures on the website also suggest that you have a hotel beach included, which is not the case. It belongs to an external beach bar and charges extra fees. The location is good, close to Oldtown and Ornos. Would not recommend to go there again, spend some extra money and get something decent…350€ a night for hostel feeling not worth it.

We stayed in last week of June. The rooms are fine but as someone else pointed out- the walls are thin. The area around pool had different style of pool beds. Few beds had holes to add covers but the hotel didn’t provide covers. Not everyone wants to get tanned. The hotel should have a policy against reserving these beds. Some guests would leave their stuff for half a day . No one could use these beds till they returned. The bus stop is close to the hotel but when it’s hot, waiting for 25 minutes feels like an hour. You end up taking a cab every time. The hotel provided transportation with the lovely Dimitri. I highly recommend him. He was helpful, shower us around and guided us at the airport. I didn't see any kids around that time. The food at bar was fine. We dined at the restaurant at the base of the hotel.
