We booked this room based on the fact that it was close to the beach and the center. We were disappointed to learn that it was nowhere near anything. The pictures are very misleading and the pools are tiny. ||||Before we arrived to this hotel we had stated what time our arrival time would be. We also requested a special request as we were celebrating our engagement, I was ignored twice which was rude. ||||When we arrived to the hotel, the staff were not very welcoming and explained to us that our room wasn’t ready so was taken to the restaurant for a welcome drink, we were disappointed that the welcome drink was just a mocktail. We ate in the restaurant as we were hungry from the travelling, I got a salad and my fiancé bought a gyro. My salad was lovely, however the gyro wasn’t really a gyro as it was all falling apart. ||||When we had finished in the restaurant, we were then shown to our room, there was no mention of our engagement as we had previously asked. There was no tour of the hotel so we feel like we didn’t explore the hotel properly. When we were brought to the room, there was nothing complimentary and instead was faced with if you take anything out of the mini fridge then you will have to pay, which we found quite negative. The room was also not the room which was requested and when we challenged them, they mentioned it was an upgrade for our engagement which was basically just a sea view. The chairs outside were old, nasty and rusty and the balcony felt like it was going to fall through and the sun left the balcony just before 3pm. The room was dirty, there was dust in the design of the wood work on the wardrobes and the sockets for our chargers did not work properly. Throughout the night we checked in, we were messaged by them explaining we had to pre order our breakfast, we thought this was strange as how do you know what you might want in the morning. ||||The following morning, we went for breakfast, I ordered scrambled eggs and my fiancé ordered Greek yogurt. The Greek yogurt was the tiniest portion and the toast from the scrambled eggs was chewy. I also ordered a cup of tea with breakfast and we got one tea bag, when I went to make another brew the tea bag was too weak. We also had to ask for the bread basket. We left it and never returned again for breakfast. ||||We then realised that taxis were needed everywhere! There was nothing local near the hotel and the taxis cost €40 each on uber, when asked at the reception desk if they were to sort a taxi for us then it would cost €45! ||||After we had been out for the night, we wasn’t greeted back to the hotel. ||||When we checked out, the hotel explained that when we booked it last year, the city tax was €7, however this has since gone up to €10 so was made to pay an extra €12 all together which we think is bad because it should be a locked price and stay at that price. The worker also checked the room in front of us which we thought was quite rude to make sure we didn’t take anything from the mini fridge. ||||We will never stay here again if we were to return to Mykonos in the future, there are much nicer hotels...
Read moreEdit: Have changed the review from 2 stars to 1 star based on hotel response “in my opinion everything is contradictory”. It is possible for reception staff to be rude in person and responsive via WhatsApp. Can confirm the tone and manner of reception staff were very rude in person and it appears management is responding defensively, which is reflective of their poor service overall.
We stayed in the “honeymoon suite” for 5 nights with a pool and jacuzzi, we originally had booked a junior suite with pool and terrace but were told at check in we were upgraded which seemed great at the time. We had requested the pool to be heated in advance and this was confirmed, however only after several enquiries upon our arrival, we discovered this was not possible.
The jacuzzi turned our white swim suits green to which the hotel staff advised it was from the cleaning tablets. They were laundered for us free of charge which was appreciated, however a warning in advance would’ve been much more preferred.
The suite overall was brand new and looked very nice, however housekeeping and service let down our stay completely. We rarely received our daily complimentary bottle of water, housekeeping was not up to standard and on one of the days, a housekeeper demanded a tip when we had requested some new slippers. The jacuzzi cleaner was the best in terms of the house keeping service we received.
Most of the reception staff were rude except for a male night time attendant who assisted us with transfers. We used the WhatsApp concierge service frequently and it was helpful and prompt most of the time. Transfers costed 45 euros one way and unfortunately the hotel was not only still under construction, but quite far away from town. The walk to super paradise beach is steep, uncovered, shared by cars and not as close as advertised by the hotel.
The breakfast was delicious and we can not fault the restaurant manager. He was very accommodating and delivered great service to everyone who stayed at the hotel. Drinks from the bar take very long to be delivered to the pool though, a milkshake we ordered was incorrectly charged double the price and took 2 hours to arrive. The hotel cat was one of the few highlights of this hotel and disappeared unfortunately on the last few days of our trip.
Although the hotel and rooms are quite nice, we would not recommend this hotel based on the service or location. It desperately requires significant improvements to compare to the other more affordable and premium...
Read moreI honestly can’t recommend Amyth of Mykonos Super Paradise enough! We have visited Mykonos several times, but this Hotel is by far our favorite! The location is just a short walk from the famous Super Paradise Beach. The hotel is nestled in a stunning spot with two gorgeous outdoor pools and unreal views of the Aegean Sea.
Let’s talk about the rooms, wow. They’re spacious, super clean, and beautifully decorated. You really feel like you’re staying in a luxury spot. There’s plenty of room for families (we had our son with us, and he had so much space to run around and play!). The rooms are so well-maintained, and everything was spotless, which made our stay even more relaxing.
The restaurant on-site? Don’t even get me started. It’s a hidden gem! The food was easily some of the best we had on the entire island. Fresh, high-quality ingredients cooked to perfection. The chef actually came around to check with each guest to see if everything was to their liking. That personal touch made all the difference. It’s definitely a place you don’t want to miss.
What really made our stay unforgettable, though, was the staff. From the moment we arrived, everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Nikos, the manager, is an absolute star, he goes out of his way to make sure everything runs smoothly and that all guests are taken care of. It’s clear he really values his team because the atmosphere was amazing. The staff was always smiling, attentive, and so professional, which made our stay feel very special.
Also, for families with young kids, this hotel is perfect! The staff is very accommodating, and we felt completely at ease knowing that our son was in a safe and welcoming environment.
In short, Amyth of Mykonos Super Paradise is a must-book if you’re visiting Mykonos. Whether you’re traveling with family or looking for a hub to relax after the party’s over, this place checks every box. Beautiful location, amazing food, super clean and spacious rooms, and a staff that truly makes you feel like family. what more...
