Here's a positive review for Petrinos Aquarius, keeping the tone consistent: No trip to Mykonos would truly be complete without a visit to the stunning Kalafati Beach, and more importantly, a delicious lunch at Petrinos Aquarius. This place is a true gem, a spot frequented by locals and discerning tourists in the know. Honestly, I'm almost afraid to spill this local secret, as we love coming back here every single year and wouldn't want it to get too crowded! Petrinos Aquarius perfectly embodies the relaxed charm of Mykonos, offering a wonderful setting right by the water. The food is consistently fresh, authentic, and utterly delicious – everything you'd hope for from a traditional Greek taverna by the sea. A special mention absolutely must go to Manos, our waiter, who truly has the gift of hospitality. He's not just efficient and attentive, but genuinely warm and welcoming, making every visit feel like catching up with an old friend. His friendly demeanor and excellent service always enhance our experience. With its fantastic food, idyllic location, and incredible staff like Manos, Petrinos Aquarius is an essential part of our...
Read moreWe went to spend the day at the beach and rented two sun lounges with umbrella. The price was 30 euro which is very cheap for Mykonos standards. If my review was limited to the experience at the beach it would probably be 4 or 5 stars because the guys working there were helpful and overall the experience was good.
When we tried to order some sandwiches from the menu we were told that those were only served at the beach during the morning, and not anymore so we needed to go to the taverna and could order to take away. Both my (Greek) boyfriend and I ordered the pork gyros. Imagine our surprise when we opened the take out boxes back at the beach and found what is on the picture I included: a piece of pork poorly cut that is clearly not gyros.
Don’t get me wrong, the flavour was ok, but it was simply not what we ordered. Felt a bit like a tourist...
Read moreGreat restaurant. Food reasonable for Mykonos. Service brilliant. Great view over beach and water. We had tzatziki with a bread basket to start, and the three of us shared quinoa salad, halomini and vegetable pita, and stuff mushrooms. Could not finish it all, a lot of food for three. Beers great price - 6 euro for 500ml Alpha draft. Ice cold.
Beach was an easy bus ride from the old town. Just note, bus station is at the old port (by water) not the main bus station in middle of town. 15 euro return for 3. Takes around 3Omin.
Sun bed all taken when we arrive (1:30pm) but heaps of space on the sand. Water clear and have a beach bar. When people left for the 3:25pm we just took a sunbed. Beer server in frozen double wall plastic mugs - 6 euro for 500ml.
Worth a visit and avoid the crazy over priced places of the...
