My wife, my sister-in-law and I were so excited to visit Aiya Anna beach, which this hotel sits on, and this hotel operates the bar and service on the beach. ||||Sadly, our experience was an incredible disappointment. Although the beach is absolutely beautiful, our day was COMPLETELY ruined by their horrendous, rude staff.||||We arrived at 10:00am to find some beach chairs and there were around 20 employees on the beach setting up chairs and towels. We asked how we might go about getting a chair and towels and what the cost was. Despite speaking fluent English and being employees, EVERY SINGLE EMPLOYEE refused to assist or answer ANY questions at all. The best we could find was an employee who said, âsomeone will come down at 10:30-10:45 to help. He told us to have a seat and wait.||||The chairs we were supposed to wait on were FILTHY, so I asked if we could get towels in the meantime, since they were setting them out anyways. They refused. I still have no clue why when they were putting out hundreds of towels, why OUR beds, and OUR request for a towe to cover our filthy chairs while we waited to be helped was denied summarily.||||The umbrellas are woven and have large holes letting in the hot sun, so I went to the beach bar to wait until 10:30-10:45 as it was the only place with shade. The entire staff that could have helped us was sitting in the bar eating breakfast. I found a spot of shade to wait and started looking at photos on my phone. I was immediately confronted by an INCREDIBLY rude employee who asked what I was doing. I said I was waiting until 10:45 when we were told someone would be able to help us. ||||He immediately responded âyouâre not going to wait behind our backsâ......to which I replied, âIâm sorry?â And he again said âyouâre not going to wait behind our backsâ. I asked where I WAS allowed to sit that might have shade while we waited and he responded he didnât know but I was not allowed there. We continued to wait in the beating sun as employees passed us without making eye contact, without offering any assistance, and without a single smile.||||Around 11 a woman finally came down and we informed her we needed three beds and two umbrellas. She said to get two umbrellas we had to buy four beds. We did so for $200 and finally sat under the umbrellas with holes, but at least our filthy chairs had towels on them. ||||The beach is beautiful, BUT SO IS EVERY OTHER BEACH ON MYKONOS. Do yourself a favor and skip a visit to this dump, and find yourself any one of the other wonderful beaches with employees more than...
Read moreI have never felt I had to write a bad review about anywhere I have stayed but here goes!|Arrived late at night check in good with the guy on reception and thats were it ends!|Woke early to a beautiful view of the sea proceeded to the outdoor patio area and went to the bar to ask for a black coffee and a white coffee, no black coffee only Greek coffee, that was ok with me, the bar guy didnât have a clue and was basically damn rude! Waiting 15 minutes for the one coffee and proceeded to wait another 10 minutes for the white when I went to check he was boiling it on a small camping stove! The coffee tasted like sludge and cost âŹ8 euros! |The beach is lovely and private but the charge for 2 beds was âŹ80 right at the back were everyone was walking back and forth, beds at the front âŹ150, we sat on our towels instead for free!|The pool is lovely and quiet the time we were there itâs a salt water pool and not very clean. There is a lovely Italian up the road but itâs not cheap! The hotel restaurant Spillia is an absolute rip off! |Day 2 our toilet broke, they guy who was manning reception fixed it and left all the crap that was in the cistern all over the toilet and the sink!|Day 3 the toilet broke again so my husband fixed it as he did on day 4 too! That night the aircon wouldnât work! Reception not worried about it at all!|Day 4 in the 4 days we were there (we booked for 7) our room wasnât cleaned(we didnât see a maid/cleaner in the time we were there) and we had no fresh towels! At this point we had a guts full and booked another hotel for the last 3 days! Iâm sitting in this hotel writing this review which is clean, amazing friendly staff, room cleaned and fresh towels everyday!|I wish I had read the reviews prior to booking this hotel and safe to say would never go there again even if they gave it to me free with free food in the rip off...
Read moreDonât believe EVERYTHING you read! This hotel was great & in a stunning location! The rooms are very basic, if you want 5* donât stay here itâs that simple. Itâs very Greek, very basic but very clean & freshly painted & perfectly fine. The staff here are just lovely, all of them. We were made to feel very welcome right from the off. The only time we mentioned a bulb had gone in our room, it was dealt with immediately. Canât fault it really apart from the hard beds but itâs no big drama! The breakfast was ok, lots of Greek homemade things added but there was lots of flies about. To cover stuff up would be the best thing but the hot food & fresh croissants every day weâre covered. The surroundings are stunning & the hotel pool lovely. Some ppl complained on trip adviser that it was dirty but itâs not! Thereâs some bits blown around, sand & petals (as it is a windy island) but itâs certainly not dirty! Me & my sister had a lovely relaxing break here just last week and ventured out to find the Aquarius taverna down the road fir the best place to eat & drink. Best prices & lovely welcoming hosts. My only grumble is that the area is very expensive. The hotel restaurant caters only for the wealthy rocking up on their yachts every day, nothing for us ânormalâ folk! Another choice of restaurant or snack bar would be great & the place would be almost perfect! Catch the bus outside the (only) shop to Mykonos town where thereâs lots of tavernas so more food choice & good prices. I would go back but perhaps for a 4 day break next time, that would be enough as thereâs really not much there but itâs a beautiful place & hotel was fab. 2 small beers at the bar set us back 12 Euroâs though & 2 soft drinks nearby were 9 so take spare cash as...
