6 day stay experience
I like to look at things as objectively as possible and look at overall factors. So overall our stay was good. Now for more specifics:
Pros- Hotel: nice and small if you get a room higher up you’ll definitely get a sea view. Cute little outdoor public bar and dinning area for all guests to use.
Room: our room included a jacuzzi and was on the first floor, nicely decorated and spacious with a big shower, couch, desk area, outside patio was so nice
Location: outside of the city so not as loud and more spacious with less crowds. However read “hotel noise level” before proceeding.
Great breakfast options!
Cons-
Hotel noise level: the rooms do not have insulation so you will hear your neighbors. Families with kids, loud music in other rooms at night, furniture moving. You’ll hear it all.
Jacuzzi: Mykonos is windy and cold (yes, even in mid-June) so not having a heated jacuzzi was a downside because that’s part of the reason we upgraded to a room with an outdoor personal jacuzzi to still be able to use it during windy cold summer Mykonos days/nights. Despite the employees telling us it was hot and that they turned the heater all the way up, it clearly was not. Preferably say it’s an outdoor pool and don’t mislead guests and then make them feel crazy for asking why the jacuzzi isn’t heated and say “it’s because of evaporation”. On the hot non-windy days, the outdoor pool is good to use.
Cleanliness: they did not clean the showers because it was still sandy on the shower floor days after so I had to wipe it down myself. Also we noticed upon arrival that the same sheets we had the first day that had a small stain on the edge of the bed (before we even slept on it) were not changed so we had to take all of the sheets and pillow covers off and put it in a pile by the front door for the bed sheets to be changed.
Treatment: we arranged a shuttle pick up with the hotel for 6:00pm (this was the estimated arrival time based on the airline). Well, the airline landed at 6:30 and we had to wait for our luggage so as soon as I got on wifi (no connection on plane and I don’t have an international phone plan) I quickly messaged them to inform them this. Well, clearly the employee from the hotel picking us up was upset about this and was silent the entire ride to the hotel (the complete opposite experience from every other cab ride on the rest of our trip so the silence was very uncommon) then proceeded to very loudly and clearly speak in Greek to the front desk employee who then asked us “so your plane was late?” And I said “yes, we messaged you as soon as we got here to inform you.” Then he proceeded to speak Greek to the same employee relaying the message, he was still clearly visibly upset and walked off. Super awkward, you don’t have to be a psychologist (even though I am) to understand non verbal cues of when you’re clearly being talked about and treated rudely over something you cannot control (planes…) and just because you don’t understand the language.
Doesn’t make you feel like family as we read online. Our experience after leaving this hotel from the cab driver to our air bnb host was amazing which definitely made up for this...

You have the most beautiful views of the Aegean Sea which you can look at whilst you eat your breakfast in the morning which is a lovely touch or simply relaxing by the beautiful pool.||||The suites are a lovely size and decorated so tastefully. We stayed in room Thetis, You are able to ring reception in the morning to have your breakfast on your terrace outside your room which is a nice little touch. Breakfast includes pastries, juices, coffee, cheese, meat, omelette, fruit and various Greek breakfast delicacies.||||The two brothers who run reception (we call them Chief and Young Jedi :) ) are so hospitable and are a real credit to Myconian Crown Suites, accolades to them both! Really hope to see you both there when we are back.||||I would definitely recommend renting a car/quad so you can explore the island, the beautiful beaches nearby and of course explore Mykonos town which is about a 20 min car/quad ride away.||||Honestly, one of my favourite hotels I have stayed in & we have been so very lucky to stay in some lovely hotels, but the Myconian Crown Suites has a soft spot in my heart. ||||A big well done to all the staff who work at this intimate establishment, you helped make our holiday fantastic and very memorable especially after the year the whole world has suffered, due to the pandemic.||||We will DEFINITELY see you again soon!...
Read moreWe had an amazing time here at Myconian Crown Suites! 5 star experience. I am used to going to nice places but you just became my favorite place to stay! Maria, Effort, Dimitris and Thanos, thank you for everything ! Staying with you for a week felt like being with family, but with a perfect professional service and so many nice attentions ! I miss Effie's breakfast/brunch every day, served directly in the room, on the retrace or by the pool at our convenience (especially your homebaked cakes and pies, and homemade jams), and your sweet smile! ||||The room had everything we could have asked for : perfect design, dreamy kingsize bed, nice Italian shower, a big dressing for all our clothe, TV, fridge, a huge terrace with an incredible view on the sea and the swimming pool, and even a jaccuzi ! It was amazing ! ||The hotel is well located in a calm neighborhood, but near everything : beautiful beach, supermarket and nice restaurants, etc... ||||But most of all, we really enjoyed your kindness everyday. The restaurants you recommanded us were amazing (you should go to Nessea and Spilia which is a bit fancy if you can), the way you took care of us. Thank you Dimitris for taking us on our last day to visite that beautiful little church ! ||||Thank you so much and you should definitely create your social media accounts to let people see how great your place is ! ||||Ah, et Maria parle parfaitement français car elle a fait ses études en France !
