Tokyo Joe is a very unique sushi experience. Their appetizers, salads, sushi, and small details really deserve high praise!
I really like the walkway over the pond to enter the establishment. Although, I do feel if someone had a handicap (wheelchair, walker, crutches, etc.) then the entrance would be unnavigable.
The interior is stylish and very chill. The menu is pretty large and the waitstaff is kind. Luckily when we went it was not very crowded, as the tables are very very close together.
For dinner we each had a salad. I had the SASHIMI SALAD and my partner had the CRISPY DUCK SALAD WITH HOISIN ORANGE SAUCE. We both really loved our salads and they were definitely large enough to split. Perhaps offering a smaller portion would be a good idea though. After that we shared some unique sushi rolls. I wish I wrote it down somewhere, but I can't fully remember what we ordered. They were definitely unique, compared to more classic rolls or signature rolls elsewhere. We usually go for really fresh and traditional rolls vs ones with a lot of sauce or fried components. Yet, we went for primarily signature roles and we were happy with our selection. They were super rich, so possibly choosing 2 signature rolls, some nigiri, and sashimi would be a better choice for us personally next time.
I like their whole menu and they offer something for everyone. I...

We came here on our 1st night in Mykonos and it became our go-to for EVERY dinner. Genuinely phenomenal!
Their menu is extensive that took us a couple of minutes to go through. We ordered different items every night in order to try as many as we could.
Sushi was spectacular and special mention to the “Crunchy Tuna”. It was our must-have sushi roll every night. A little bit of heat from the chilli sauce mayo and the tuna was fresh. Every sushi roll on their signature section tasted different from the others and we were amazed. Mind-blown!
For the hot plates, I ordered “Beef Udon Noodles” twice and it was my favourite comfort food in Mykonos as the wind was insanely strong during our stay. The texture of udon was bouncy and smooth. The sauce was delicious and flavourful. Beef was slightly dry but tasted good.
One dish I’m not sure about is “Wagyu steak”. The steak was quite lean and dry. Not much Wagyu flavour and it was quite underwhelming.
Overall, the service was excellent! Well worth visiting and looking forward to coming back! Massively...
Read moreFood was above average, and I want to mention a few things:
They have a long pool across the front of the restaurant and my wife fell into the pool because there was no warning signs or obvious obstacles (ie. pot of plant or something). The waiter says this happens often…so why not do something about it.
We bought the first bottle of house sake. It was great so we bought a second one..however the second bottle was so diluted with water that we had to say something. We told the waiter and the waiter believed us (but why believe us if you service non diluted drinks usually). So they gave us a third bottle on the house…but shouldn’t have happened in the first place. Leaves a sour taste in our mouths knowing they tried to cheap out.
While dining we saw that it was customary for the restaurant to serve complimentary ice cream at the end before the bill came. We saw at least three tables receiving the dessert. But when it was our time to pay they didn’t give us the complimentary ice cream. When we asked the waiter, he said he wanted to see if we tipped before giving out the...
